This is an excellent opportunity to work in a fast-paced manufacturing environment, providing hands-on engineering support across all departments. You'll play a vital role in maximising equipment performance, supporting continuous improvement projects, and contributing to the overall reliability and efficiency of site operations. The Job You Will Do: • Provide emergency breakdown support to production machinery and equipment, • Conduct regular planned maintenance as per the maintenance schedule, • Support the UK Engineering Manager with engineering projects, including design, specification, purchasing, and installation, • Carry out mechanical and electrical repairs across a wide range of production and support equipment, • Monitor equipment performance, identifying and resolving recurring issues, • Maintain accurate records for all maintenance activities, • Assist with external contractors and service engineers, ensuring adherence to safety standards, • Ensure all work aligns with company Health & Safety, ISO 14001, and BRC/AIB compliance standards, • Take part in initiatives to improve downtime, efficiency, health and safety, and hygiene, • Maintain a clean, organised and hazard-free work environment About You: HNC in Electrical or Mechanical Engineering (Electrical preferred) Recognised time-served apprenticeship in Engineering Maintenance NVQ Level 3 in Maintenance Operations or equivalent Proven maintenance experience in a factory/manufacturing environment (essential) Post-apprenticeship experience in a similar role (desirable) Knowledge of Motors, drives, PLCs, gearboxes, transmissions Strong team player with proactive attitude Excellent initiative and problem-solving skills Able to prioritise and adapt to changing schedules Strong attention to detail and accuracy Confident communicator across all levels and departments
