Keeps up to date with the latest manufacturing techniques, electrical components and drawing standards. Liaise with other departments to ensure that the required information is available when needed and customer requests are dealt with in a timely manner. Responsible for generation of electrical drawings and bills of materials. Responsible for carrying out design change requests in a timely manner. Available for onsite customer support (presentations and fault finding) as required. Experience Minimum of three years' experience in electrical design within an engineering or manufacturing environment. Proven experience in designing electrical control systems, wiring diagrams, and circuit layouts. Experience with design software such as AutoCAD Electrical, EPLAN, or similar tools. Familiarity with relevant British and European electrical standards and regulations. Requirements and Qualifications Proven ability to understand/produce technical drawings. Ability to co-ordinate with the other discipline Engineers (mechanical, pneumatics and software) within the department to produce multidisciplinary design solutions. Able to report electrical design status on the assigned tasks whenever asked. Ensure the electrical design functionally meets the user's requirements. Produce designs to specified deadlines and achieve the required timescales. Confident, proactive character, with ability to take the lead in challenging situations.
