This is an excellent opportunity for a Chartered Building Surveyor to join a professional practice, delivering expert building surveying services across a diverse commercial property portfolio. \n Working with landlords, tenants, investors, developers, and occupiers, you'll provide high-quality technical advice while managing a varied workload across commercial property projects. \n The Role \n As a Chartered Building Surveyor, you will: \n\n • Undertake commercial building surveys, pre-acquisition surveys, technical due diligence inspections, and measured surveys using modern surveying technology where appropriate.\n, • Prepare detailed building survey reports, Schedules of Condition, and Schedules of Dilapidations, identifying defects, risks, and repair requirements in line with RICS guidance.\n, • Diagnose building defects and advise clients on repair, maintenance, refurbishment, landlord and tenant matters, and lease obligations.\n, • Prepare specifications of works, tender documentation, administer refurbishment and repair contracts, and assist with Red Book valuation inspections where required.\n, • Liaise with clients, contractors, solicitors, managing agents, and other consultants, ensuring compliance with relevant legislation while managing project records, budgets, and timescales.\n, • Build strong client relationships and identify opportunities to provide additional consultancy services.\n\n Chartered Building Surveyor Requirements \n\n • Degree in Building Surveying or a related discipline\n, • MRICS or FRICS qualified\n, • Proven experience within commercial building surveying\n, • Strong knowledge of commercial construction methods, building pathology, and repair techniques\n, • Experience preparing technical reports and providing professional advice\n, • Excellent written and verbal communication skills\n, • Strong organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously\n, • Full UK driving licence and willingness to travel across the region\n\n Desirable experience: \n\n • Dilapidations\n, • Schedules of Condition\n, • Contract Administration\n, • Defect Analysis\n, • Commercial property inspections\n, • Landlord and Tenant matters\n, • Drone surveying experience (or willingness to train)\n, • Knowledge of commercial property legislation and RICS professional standards\n\n What's on Offer? \n\n • Competitive salary of £60,000 - £70,000, depending on experience\n, • Full-time, Monday-Friday position\n, • Full administrative support, allowing you to focus on professional surveying work\n, • Varied workload across building and commercial projects\n, • Supportive and collaborative working environment\n, • Opportunity to join a well-established and highly respected regional practice\n, • Genuine long-term career development opportunities\n\n Apply Today! \n If you're an MRICS or FRICS Chartered Building Surveyor looking to join a respected practice offering varied commercial projects, career progression, and a supportive team environment, we'd love to hear from you. \n Apply now and we'll review your application within 48 hours.
