The role — what you'll do * Plan, schedule and optimise daily delivery routes to hit every cut-off and keep cost-per-drop down * Lead, coordinate and motivate our drivers and subcontractors — allocate workloads and manage performance * Own service levels: track KPIs and SLAs, resolve issues fast, keep clients and depots happy * Keep us fully compliant — driver hours, vehicle checks and maintenance, insurance, health & safety and accurate records * Control operating costs: fuel cards, supplier relationships and route budgets * Plan capacity and resourcing as we open new delivery routes * Report operational and financial performance to the director and help shape strategy About you Essential: * A degree-level qualification (or equivalent experience) in logistics, transport, supply chain or business * Proven experience in transport, distribution or route planning * A natural organiser who stays calm under pressure and solves problems on the move * Confident managing people and holding a team to high standards * Solid knowledge of UK transport compliance * Eligible to work in the UK Desirable: * Experience with parcel networks (DPD, Courier Exchange or similar) * Familiarity with route-planning / transport management software
