Our client, a leading multi utilities infrastructure provider, is looking for a driven and results-focused Business Development Manager to join their team in the Northwest. As a Business Development Manager you’ll be the face of the business with clients – managing key relationships, driving new business and managing tenders from enquiry through to submission and closure. Key responsibilities for the Business Development Manager: • Focus on winning new business and maximising opportunities within existing accounts, • Handle incoming enquiries, qualify opportunities, and convert them into orders, • Manage the tender process from logging and tracking through to submission and closure, • Prepare and deliver tender documentation that meets client requirements, • Build strong client relationships through regular communication, meetings, and site visits, • Ensure customer expectations are met or exceeded at every stage of the process, • Represent the business at industry events, networking opportunities, and client functions, • Share insights, report on wins and challenges, and contribute ideas for improvement Skills and Experience required for the Business Development Manager: • Experience of winning and growing accounts in a sales-driven environment (essential), • Background in utilities infrastructure, housing, or construction sectors (essential), • Strong ability to negotiate contracts and close deals, • Experience of managing tenders and preparing proposals, • Effective networking and relationship-building abilities, • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, • Confident in contributing to and leading meetings, • Full UK Driving License (essential) Ref: JB-15167 Role: Business Development Manager Location: Yorkshire or Newcastle – office based Salary: £45k - £60k + Company Car + Comms
