As our business continues to grow, we are looking for an experienced, hardworking and enthusiastic Warehouse Operative to join our friendly Operations team. About the Role As a Warehouse Operative, you will be responsible for ensuring the smooth day-to-day running of warehouse operations, helping to maintain excellent service levels for both our customers and internal teams. Working as part of a close-knit team, you will be involved in every aspect of warehouse activity, from receiving goods through to preparing customer orders for dispatch. Key Responsibilities · Order Fulfilment · Accurately pick customer orders using handheld scanning devices. · Pack products safely and securely to company standards. · Check orders for accuracy before dispatch. · Ensure customer orders are processed efficiently and on time. · Stock Management · Replenish stock using the Warehouse Management System (WMS). · Store and rotate stock correctly. · Carry out routine stock checks and assist with stock takes. · Report damaged, missing or incorrect stock to the Warehouse Manager. · Goods In & Goods Out · Unload deliveries and shipping containers safely. · Check incoming goods against purchase orders and report discrepancies. · Load customer orders accurately for dispatch. · Complete all warehouse documentation accurately. · Customer Service Support · Work closely with the Customer Service team to ensure orders are dispatched on schedule. · Assist with operational queries to provide the highest level of customer service. · Product Rework · Rework and prepare products to meet customer-specific requirements, particularly for National and Key Account customers. · General Warehouse Duties · Maintain a clean, organised and safe warehouse environment. · Operate warehouse equipment safely and responsibly. · Follow all company Health & Safety procedures. · Handle all products with care to maintain the highest quality standards. · Support continuous improvement by following warehouse procedures and identifying opportunities to improve efficiency. · Assist colleagues across the warehouse whenever required. Working Relationships, you’ll work closely with: · Warehouse Manager · Warehouse Team · Customer Service Team · Purchasing Team · Quality Assurance Team About You We're looking for someone who is reliable, proactive and enjoys working as part of a team. You will ideally have: · Previous warehouse experience (essential). · A Forklift Truck (FLT) licence is desirable, although full training can be provided for the right candidate. · Excellent attention to detail. · A positive attitude and strong work ethic. · Good organisational skills and the ability to prioritise work effectively. · Confidence working in a busy, fast-moving warehouse. · Good communication skills. · Basic IT skills and confidence using handheld scanners and warehouse management systems. · A good understanding of warehouse processes and Health & Safety requirements. · The ability to carry out manual handling duties safely. · A flexible approach and willingness to support different areas of the warehouse as business needs require.
