Job Duties:
As a Purchasing Manager, you will be responsible for overseeing the end-to-end sourcing, coordination, and quality assurance of fashion and luxury products purchased in the UK for international distribution. Your main responsibilities will include: Researching and identifying high-demand luxury products and new seasonal items across UK retailers, outlets, and department stores. Coordinating in-store or online purchases from brands such as BURBERRY, GOYARD, PRADA, and other targeted suppliers. Building and maintaining close working relationships with brand representatives, store associates, and account managers. Preparing product reports and pricing comparisons based on regional demand (mainland China, Hong Kong, Macau). Assisting with visual documentation of products (photos/videos) for internal records and marketing use. Supporting international logistics and customs paperwork preparation in cooperation with shipping teams. Attending seasonal sales, private shopping events, and outlet campaigns for procurement purposes. Managing purchase records, receipts, and ensuring accurate inventory input. Liaising with Mandarin-speaking clients and internal teams to ensure product match and fulfillment accuracy. Who We’re Looking For:
Skills & Qualities:
Fluent in Mandarin and English (written and spoken), with strong cross-cultural communication skills. Detail-oriented and organized, with strong documentation and coordination ability. A keen interest in luxury fashion trends, product categories, and brand heritage. Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, PowerPoint); basic knowledge of Adobe tools is a plus. Self-motivated, reliable, and able to work independently in a fast-paced, task-driven environment. Comfortable with occasional travel to stores, outlets, and brand events across the UK. Experience:
1–2 years’ experience in luxury retail, fashion buying, product design, or operations roles. Prior exposure to fashion product sourcing, social media marketing, or design-related industries is highly desirable. Previous experience in visual merchandising, showroom planning, or brand styling is a plus. Education:
Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Fashion Design, Product Design, Marketing, Business, or related fields. Design or luxury retail background (e.g., jewellery, fashion accessories) is a strong advantage.
