Deliver tailored product presentations and proposals to both new and existing clients. Negotiate pricing, delivery terms, and agreements to maximize value for both the client and the company. Accurately record sales activities, pipeline, and customer interactions using internal CRM and IT systems. Work closely with estimating, technical, and logistics teams to ensure a smooth project handover and delivery process. Stay current on industry developments, market trends, and competitor activity to spot new business opportunities. Represent the business professionally at meetings, site visits, and industry events. Experience & Skills Required Previous experience in a B2B sales role within construction, steel, or building materials is highly desirable. Technical knowledge of steel products, structural materials, or the construction supply chain is an advantage. Ability to understand or interpret technical specifications or drawings (preferred, not essential). Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with confidence to engage across all levels. Proactive, target-driven, and highly organised with good time management. Comfortable using digital tools, CRM systems, and email to manage client communication. A self-motivated individual capable of managing a mixed schedule of office, field, and remote work. What’s on Offer Hybrid working flexibility Opportunity to join a respected industry leader with a strong reputation in the UK market Supportive, team-oriented culture with genuine career development potential Competitive salary and performance-related incentives If you’re ready to step into a commercially focused role in the construction and steel sector and are excited to work with a leading business behind the scenes, Severn James would love to hear from you.
