Roles and Responsibilities: • Assist the Planned Maintenance Manager and Roads Manager in ensuring all operations are delivered in line with contract requirements, maintaining high standards across the board., • Oversee the day-to-day activities of a dedicated team responsible for delivering both structural and routine road maintenance within your region. You’ll ensure budgets are fully utilised and financial targets are met., • Plan and manage a steady pipeline of work for both internal teams and subcontractors, ensuring smooth and efficient delivery across all projects., • Act as Principal Designer or Principal Contractor when required, ensuring all scheme designs are safe, fit for purpose, and compliant with relevant technical standards and risk assessments., • Uphold all company policies and procedures, and ensure full compliance with Health & Safety, CDM regulations, environmental standards, and accessibility requirements. You’ll also liaise with clients, emergency services, local authorities, and other key stakeholders. Knowledge, Skills and Experience: • Relevant Civil Engineering degree, • Professionally qualified or working towards professional qualification (IEng/CEng), • Knowledge of current design standards, • Working knowledge of contract control and management systems, • Ability to work to tight deadlines and work under pressure, • Ability to produce innovative solutions to engineering problems, • Good oral and written communication skills, • Full approved UK Driving license Why BEAR?
