Role Overview We are seeking a dynamic Manufacturing Engineering Manager to lead our Manufacturing Engineering function at the Salfords site. This is a senior leadership role within the Operations team, responsible for driving engineering excellence, supporting production efficiency, and leading continuous improvement initiatives. Key Responsibilities Lead and manage the Manufacturing Engineering team, including performance management, development, and resource planning. Oversee the design and implementation of systems, equipment, and processes for new product introductions, with a focus on Engineering Change Orders (ECOs) and gated processes. Provide engineering support to Operations to eliminate waste, resolve manufacturing issues, and ensure effective maintenance, tooling, and documentation. Collaborate with R&D, Operations, and Supply Chain to maintain supplier quality and ensure smooth integration of engineering changes. Champion continuous improvement initiatives across production and support functions to enhance overall product delivery. Contribute to strategic planning and cross-functional leadership as part of the Senior Operations team. Candidate Profile Qualifications & Experience: Degree (or equivalent) in a technical or engineering discipline. Strong knowledge of core manufacturing processes. Proven experience in problem-solving methodologies (e.g., 8D) and statistical analysis tools. Minimum 5 years of engineering experience in a manufacturing environmentideally low-volume, electromechanical, high-tech, or vacuum systems. Demonstrated success in managing engineering teams. Excellent communication and influencing skills. Project management expertise. Experience with Lean and/or Six Sigma methodologies. TPBN1_UKTJ
