Job Title: Fire Risk Manager Location: Oldham, Greater Manchester Salary/Benefits: £45k - £65k + Training & Benefits We are recruiting on behalf of a busy Health and Safety / Compliance outfit, who have a nationwide presence. They are seeking a highly knowledgeable Fire Risk Manager to oversee the successful delivery and growth of fire engineering services. You will be responsible for leading teams of site staff, ensuring deadlines are met and standards of service are maintained. The ideal candidate will be happy to remain hands-on in undertaking fire risk assessments to support the department and to train new members of staff. It is essential for applicants to have a strong track record within the industry, and experience of managing teams and client accounts. Experience / Qualifications: • Strong experience working as a Fire Risk Manager / Fire Risk Assessor, • Will hold the Level 3 in Fire Risk Assessing, • Has chartered Fire Engineer status, • Ideally will hold: NEBOSH General, NEBOSH Fire, IFSM and / or IFE, • Excellent technical knowledge, • Able to effectively communicate technical matters to clients, • Experience of managing teams, • Good literacy, numeracy and IT skills The Role: • Overseeing the Fire Engineering department, ensuring projects are completed smoothly, • Providing support to teams of site staff, including troubleshooting any issues which may arise, • Managing a portfolio of client accounts, acting as a key point of contact, • Supporting company growth and identifying new business leads, • Conducting auditing on completed works, • Fostering strong working relationships with clients, • Training of new members of staff, • Undertaking complex fire risk assessments across a range of premises, • Producing detailed technical reports, • Reviewing existing fire safety plans and making amendments where required, • Meeting with clients to provide tailored advice and findings, • Visiting sites to establish new client requirements and to promote company services Alternative Job titles: Lead Fire Risk Assessor, Fire Risk Consultant, Fire Risk Assessor, Fire Risk Supervisor, Fire Risk Team Leader.
