IT & Systems Manager | Lincoln | Full Time | £45,000–£55,000 Our client is a dynamic SME looking to evolve and strengthen its internal IT capabilities. They are seeking a technically skilled and strategically minded IT/Systems Manager to lead day-to-day operations while planning and implementing longer-term infrastructure projects. This is a standalone role perfect for someone ready to take ownership of both technical support and strategic IT initiatives. Are you the right person for the job? 3–5 years' experience in IT management or senior support roles, ideally within an SME Strong technical knowledge across hardware, networking, cloud platforms, and cybersecurity Experience with infrastructure planning and implementation (CCTV, cabling, server environments) Confident managing IT projects end-to-end, from scoping to delivery Excellent documentation and process management skills Comfortable working independently and making strategic decisions impacting the business What will your role look like? Manage day-to-day IT operations, including hardware, software, connectivity, and telephony support Oversee IT set-ups for new starters, including PCs, laptops, printers, and user accounts Maintain and monitor data backups and remote/offsite backup protocols Administer Microsoft 365, OrderWise (ERP), and other business platforms Manage user permissions, onboarding/offboarding processes, and device provisioning Lead cybersecurity initiatives, including threat assessments, mitigation strategies, and password policies Develop and deliver employee training on digital literacy and security awareness Plan and implement IT-related projects, such as cloud migrations, infrastructure upgrades, and software transitions Maintain accurate records of IT assets, licences, and configurations Liaise with external IT partners for escalations, ensuring accountability and resolution What can you expect in return?
