WASHINGTON (Ref 803 ) Permanent \n £35k – £38.1k pending on experience (early finish Fridays!) \n We are looking for an experienced and proactive HR Officer to deliver a high-quality HR service that supports both operational and business objectives. This is a broad generalist role covering the full employee lifecycle, providing expert advice, managing employee relations matters, supporting recruitment activities, and driving continuous improvement across HR processes. \n Key Responsibilities \n\n • Manage employee relations cases, including disciplinary, grievance, absence management, investigations, and performance issues.\n, • Provide timely and practical HR advice to managers and employees on policies, procedures, and employment law.\n, • Review, develop, and maintain HR policies, procedures, and documentation.\n, • Lead recruitment and onboarding activities across the business.\n, • Support sickness absence management, occupational health processes, and employee wellbeing initiatives.\n, • Produce HR reports and workforce data to support business decision-making.\n, • Deliver training and coaching to managers on HR best practice.\n, • Identify opportunities to improve HR processes, efficiency, and compliance.\n\n About You \n\n • Minimum 2 years’ experience in a generalist HR role.\n, • Strong employee relations experience, including disciplinary, grievance, and absence management.\n, • Good knowledge of UK employment legislation and its practical application.\n, • Experience advising managers and employees on HR policies and procedures.\n, • Strong organisational, communication, and relationship-building skills.\n, • Confident using HR systems and Microsoft Office, particularly Excel.\n, • HR qualification or equivalent experience; CIPD Level 5 (or working towards) desirable.\n, • Experience with occupational health, wellbeing initiatives, payroll support, HR reporting, and manager training.\n\n This is an excellent opportunity for a motivated HR professional looking to make a real impact within a busy and evolving organisation.
