Senior Registered Mental Health Nurse (RMN) – Prison Based Location: Isle of Wight Salary: £35,392 – £42,618 per annum + 10% Welcome Bonus Contract: Permanent, Full-time hours Sanctuary Personnel is recruiting for a Senior Registered Mental Health Nurse (RMN) to join a specialist prison healthcare service providing integrated mental health and substance misuse care within a secure setting. Role Overview In this role, you will: • Manage a caseload of service users with complex mental health needs, • Complete comprehensive assessments, care planning, and reviews, • Act as a Care Coordinator under the CPA framework, • Deliver evidence-based therapeutic interventions (1:1 and group work), • Work collaboratively with multi-agency and offender health teams, • Support individuals from initial assessment through to discharge or release, • Facilitate hospital transfers under the Mental Health Act where required, • Registered Mental Health Nurse with valid NMC registration, • Significant experience within mental health services, • Strong understanding of the Mental Health Act, • Experience delivering interventions such as CBT, counselling, or motivational interviewing, • Experience in supervision or leadership desirable, • This is a prison-based role, • Prison clearance is essential prior to commencement (support provided through the process) This position offers the chance to work in a highly specialised environment where you can make a meaningful impact on rehabilitation, recovery, and long-term outcomes.
