Job Description Typical Duties • Measure, cut, bend, thread, assemble and install electrical conduit., • Connect wiring to lighting fixtures and power equipment., • Install switches, relays, circuit-breaker panels, etc., • Connect power cables to equipment and install grounding leads., • Test continuity of circuit to ensure electrical compatibility and safety of components., • Observe functioning of installed equipment or system to determine hazards and need for adjustments, relocation or replacement., • Repair faulty equipment or systems. Qualifications • At least 2 years of electrical experience, • Able to operate a backhoe, • Ability to interpret mechanical, plumbing and structural drawings, • Able to lay out parking lot lighting and install pole bases, • Ability to think critically and resolve problems, • Can communicate and give written instruction in a professional manner, • Comfortable with MS Office (EXCEL, Word, Outlook), • Thorough understanding of safety requirements and OSHA guidelines, • Able to read and understand blueprints, sketches, labels, job site maps/directions, instruction manuals and written instructions accurately, • Must be high school graduate or hold G.E.D., • Must have valid driver's license.
