We are seeking a Managing Rehabilitation Veterinarian to provide high-quality care and leadership to Integrative Pet Care in Chicago, IL, which includes 2 associate veterinarians and a therapy team of 10. Key Responsibilities • Patient Care & Clinical Excellence, • Provide comprehensive rehabilitation care that improves mobility, reduces pain, and enhances quality of life., • Develop and adjust individualized treatment plans, incorporating appropriate modalities (e.g., underwater treadmill, laser therapy, acupuncture, therapeutic exercise)., • Provide clinical leadership and mentoring to all medical staff including Associate DVMs, Therapists, Veterinary Technicians and Veterinary Assistants., • Advise on policies and procedures for best practice clinical operations and efficient use of staff. Make recommendations for improving effectiveness of clinical policies and procedures., • Assist Practice Manager with the planning, development, implementation, operation, maintenance, and control of medical services., • Ensure medicine is delivered and patient/client records are completed in compliance with federal, state, and local regulatory agency requirements., • Institute/share new medical procedures and techniques that improve quality and efficiency., • Client Relationship Management, • Promote a client-centered environment and facilitate programs that meet or exceed client needs., • Build strong client relationships by effectively communicating diagnosis, treatment plans, and prevention strategies., • Offer guidance and education on pet health., • In collaboration with the Practice Manager and other department leads, address client concerns and ensure their satisfaction with our services., • Leadership & Communication, • Provide clinical guidance to support staff during patient care., • Deliver in-house medical training and share knowledge with support staff growth., • Support a positive and healthy work environment and culture., • Encourage active communication among team members, identify communication gaps, and find solutions., • Spokesperson and representative for the organization to the public on matters relating to rehabilitative medicine., • Practice Growth & Business Outcomes, • Assist in developing and reviewing annual budgets, periodic forecasts, pricing analysis, and performance goals for the practice., • Develop and maintain strategic relationships with referring veterinarians and staff of referring veterinary hospitals., • Coordinate and participate in marketing and outreach efforts to referring veterinarians and their staff in conjunction with Practice Manager., • Collaborate with Practice Manager to ensure initiatives and action plans are in place to support strong Team Member Satisfaction and above industry standard retention rates., • Operational Excellence, • Oversee all medical and quality control aspects of the hospital in coordination with the Practice Manager., • Make recommendations for improving effectiveness of clinical policies and procedures., • Develop and execute strategies for optimal operational performance., • Professional Development, • Take ownership of ongoing clinical and professional growth through CE and certifications., • Stay engaged in emerging developments within rehabilitation and sports medicine to elevate the practices standard of care. Skills and Qualifications • Required Skills:, • DVM license in the current state, • One of the following certifications: DACVSMR, CCRP, CCRT, CCRV, CCAT, VMRT, CRPM required, • Additional certifications: CVSMT, CVA/CVAT, CVPP preferred or an interest in pursuing certification, • Proficiency in practice management software and Microsoft Office Suite, • A minimum of five years' experience in rehabilitation or sports medicine, • 3+ years of supervisory/leadership experience, • Expertise in veterinary diagnostics and rehabilitative therapies, • Exceptional communication and client relationship management abilities., • Leadership skills with a focus on mentoring and team collaboration., • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail., • Adaptability to changing clinical needs and evolving practices.
