Job Description Job Title: Production Associate / Assembler Job Description This role offers a structured, three-level development path where you progressively build your skills across the full production process. At the entry level, you learn the product line, manufacturing processes, and production philosophy while operating designated workstations within required cycle times. As you advance, you take on more complex sub-assemblies, use a full range of hand and power-assisted tools, and eventually become proficient at every workstation, reading blueprints and schematics, identifying production issues, and helping train new team members. Responsibilities • Learn the product line, manufacturing processes, and production philosophy and apply this knowledge to daily tasks., • Operate assigned workstations and complete tasks within required cycle times while maintaining quality and safety standards., • Assemble equipment and components that may contain up to 12 pieces, including structures, fittings, brackets, and bolts., • Perform sub-assemblies within specified tolerances and complete assemblies that require multiple sub-steps., • Use common hand tools, handheld power tools, fabricating equipment, and portable air tools such as ratchets to complete production tasks., • Read and interpret detailed written and oral instructions to perform repetitive and precise production activities., • Measure, record, and verify detailed measurements, counts, distances, and times to ensure accuracy and consistency., • Apply principles of safety, continuous quality improvement, and just-in-time production in daily work., • Progress toward the ability to perform satisfactorily at all workstations as skills and experience increase., • Develop the capability to read blueprints and schematic drawings to guide assembly and troubleshoot issues., • Identify straightforward production problems and take appropriate steps to resolve them or escalate as needed., • Support and help instruct new employees once proficient at all workstations, sharing best practices and safe work habits., • Handle, lift, pull, push, and guide materials and products weighing 20–50 pounds on a continuous basis and 50–100 pounds on a recurring basis using proper techniques., • Maintain a strong orientation toward quality, safety, and continuous improvement in all tasks., • Work effectively in a fast-paced manufacturing and warehouse environment, contributing to production goals and schedules., • Perform loading and unloading tasks, support warehouse and production operations, and assist with painting and related activities as needed., • Safely operate or support the operation of material handling equipment such as forklifts, where required and trained. Essential Skills • Basic understanding of assembly processes sufficient to organize, examine, and assemble equipment containing up to 12 pieces of material such as structures, fittings, brackets, and bolts., • Basic knowledge of common hand tools, handheld power tools, fabricating equipment, and portable air tools such as ratchets., • Ability to perform the various aspects of the job across different workstations as skills develop., • Sufficient reasoning ability to understand detailed, repetitive written and oral instructions and solve straightforward, immediate problems., • Ability to perform arithmetic calculations and accurately read and record detailed measurements, counts, distances, and times., • Ability to learn and understand safety practices, continuous quality improvement, and just-in-time production within a reasonable period of time., • Ambulatory ability to walk, stand, reach, stoop, bend, and crawl on a continuous basis., • Ability to lift, pull, push, and guide medium-weight objects (20–50 pounds) on a continuous basis and heavy-weight objects (50–100 pounds) on a recurring basis., • Sufficient hand-arm-eye coordination to guide objects into specific placement or alignment, make intricate connections, and take precise measurements., • Strong orientation toward quality, safety, and continuous improvement., • Ability to lift up to 50 pounds on a regular basis., • Positive attitude and strong work ethic., • Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment. Additional Skills & Qualifications • Previous experience working with hand and air tools is desired., • Previous experience in a fast-paced production, assembly, or warehouse environment is desired., • Familiarity with a manufacturing environment is desired., • Experience with mechanical assembly, pneumatics, painting, loading, unloading, warehouse operations, and production tasks is beneficial., • Exposure to operating or working around forklifts and other material handling equipment is an advantage. Work Environment You work in a manufacturing factory and warehouse environment that is active, hands-on, and fast-paced. You spend most of your time on your feet, walking, standing, reaching, stooping, bending, and occasionally crawling to complete assembly and production tasks. The role involves regular lifting, pulling, pushing, and guiding of materials and products, with weights typically between 20 and 50 pounds and heavier items handled on a recurring basis using proper techniques and equipment. Personal protective equipment is required at all times, including safety glasses, ear protection, and steel-toe shoes or boots. The environment may include the use of mechanical and pneumatic tools, handheld power tools, fabricating equipment, and forklifts, with an emphasis on safe operation and ergonomics supported by on-site resources Job Type & Location This is a Contract position based out of Bellevue, WA. Pay and Benefits The pay range for this position is $25.13 - $25.13/hr. Eligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on your job classification and length of employment.
