Job Description JSM & Associates, LLC is seeking a Project Manager – Airport Systems / Material Handling to support projects at Nashville International Airport (BNA). This role is responsible for managing airport systems and material handling projects through planning, coordination, execution, testing, cutover, and closeout, while serving as a key representative of the owner throughout project delivery. Benefits and Perks You’ll Appreciate: • Ongoing career development and training opportunities, • Collaborate with a team in a dynamic environment, • Dental, Vision and Life Insurance, • Wellness Program, • Paid Time Off, • Paid Holidays, • Employee Assistance Program, • Retirement Savings Plan with Company Match, • Education and Tuition Assistance Program, • Manage airport systems and material handling projects from initiation through closeout, • Act as an owner’s representative in meetings, field coordination, project planning, testing, and implementation activities, • Serve as a primary liaison between project teams and the O&M team to support maintainability, operational acceptance, and long-term system performance, • Coordinate with airport stakeholders, engineers, contractors, integrators, vendors, and end users to keep projects aligned with scope, schedule, and operational requirements, • Support project planning, budgeting, scheduling, procurement coordination, risk tracking, and issue resolution, • Monitor project progress and help identify, escalate, and resolve obstacles that may affect delivery, • Review project documentation including drawings, specifications, submittals, RFIs, test plans, turnover packages, and closeout documents, • Participate in system testing, commissioning, startup, cutover planning, and operational readiness activities, • Help ensure that system handoff to airport operations and maintenance teams is well organized, documented, and executable, • Advocate for owner interests related to safety, quality, operability, maintainability, and business continuity, • Facilitate communication among technical teams and operational stakeholders to minimize disruption to airport activities, • Support development of meeting agendas, status reports, action logs, decision logs, and stakeholder communications, • Participate in day and night work as needed, including support during cutovers, shutdowns, testing windows, and implementation activities, • Safety and compliance training as required, • Bachelor’s degree in engineering, construction management, project management, aviation management, or a related field preferred, • Equivalent relevant experience in lieu of a degree will be considered, • Experience managing or supporting complex infrastructure, airport systems, material handling, baggage handling, controls, or similar operationally critical projects, • Experience working in an airport, transportation, industrial, logistics, distribution, manufacturing, or other fast-paced operational environment is preferred, • Ability to coordinate across multiple stakeholders and represent owner interests in a professional and solutions-oriented manner, • Understanding of project delivery processes, including design coordination, construction support, testing, commissioning, and turnover, • Strong communication, organization, documentation, and problem-solving skills, • Ability to read and interpret drawings, specifications, schedules, and technical documentation, • Proficiency with Microsoft Office and common project management tools, • Experience with airport systems, baggage handling systems, conveyor systems, controls integration, SCADA, PLC-based systems, or other material handling environments, • Experience supporting owner’s representative, consulting, or client-facing project roles, • Experience coordinating turnover to operations and maintenance teams, • Familiarity with live operational environments where phasing, access restrictions, safety, and continuity of operations are critical, • Regularly required to stand, sit for long periods of time, bend, use hands to manipulate (type), talk and hear; walk and sit, • Must be able to lift up to 15 pounds at a time The applicant must be able to successfully pass a drug screen (we promote/maintain a Drug Free Workplace), a driver's license check, and a background check for continued employment.
