Job Description FOH & Bar Manager - Dog Haus Chicago! Position Description: The Front of House (FOH) & Bar Manager(s) at Dog Haus Chicago is responsible for overseeing all customer-facing aspects of the business, ensuring a positive and efficient dining experience for the customers and the FOH teams. The FOH & Bar Manager has the opportunity to oversee multiple locations (2-4 depending on preference, experience, etc.) throughout Chicago. We are looking for 1 or 2 people that are excited about re-building our existing bar and front of house programs at multiple locations based on their own experience and knowledge of the industry. Job Duties & Expectations: • Maintains operations by preparing and enforcing policies and standard operating procedures for all FOH and Bar staff; implementing productivity, quality, and patron-service standards; determining and implementing system improvements for all FOH and Bar teams., • Maintains patron satisfaction by monitoring, evaluating, and auditing food, beverage, and service offerings; initiating improvements; building relationships with preferred patrons; provides excellent customer service and serves as the Manager on Duty to resolve customer issues., • Recruits, interviews, hires, trains, develops, coaches, and disciplines FOH and Bar staff and leadership., • Leads by example in all aspects and service; enforces and models the employee meal & drink policy: 1 meal per shift (employee meal includes 1 entree and 1 side or 1 non-alcoholic drink)., • Maintains safe, secure, and healthy environment by establishing, following, and enforcing FOH and Bar sanitation standards and procedures; complying with health and legal regulations; helps to maintain security systems., • Maintains professional and technical knowledge by tracking emerging trends in the restaurant and bar industry; reviews professional publications; establishes personal networks; benchmarks state-of-the-art practices., • Builds/Re-builds on existing bar and front of haus programs at multiple locations, with industry knowledge and enthusiasm., • Acts as the point of contact for special events, fundraisers, catering, etc. Is present for special events (i.e. Trivia Night); Uses special events to connect with and build relationships with customers and vendors., • Creates weekly FOH and Bar Schedule for all locations under their purview., • Works with suppliers and vendors to take inventory and order all FOH and Bar needs., • Regularly checks and maintains all FOH and Bar equipment to ensure everything is in working order; maintains relationships with vendors to ensure any equipment issues are dealt with effectively., • Follows all company policy and procedures regarding dealing with cash, equipment and property, • Works weekly bartending, cashier and front of house shifts at all locations under their purview., • Valid BASSET Certification, • Must agree to a full background check, • Must have a valid driver’s license and reliable transportation to travel throughout the city of Chicago., • Supervisory and Bartending experience, • Culinary experience, • Bilingual (English & Spanish), • Valid Illinois ServSafe Certification
