The Events & Catering Bartender plays a key role in delivering exceptional beverage service for meetings, weddings, and special events, creating a polished and engaging experience for every guest. This role combines technical skill with genuine hospitality, ensuring drinks are crafted with precision while maintaining a warm, professional presence. Requested Tasks • Prepare and serve alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages for banquet and catered events, • Set up and break down bar stations according to Banquet Event Orders (BEOs), • Ensure bar areas are clean, organized, and fully stocked before, during, and after events, • Maintain knowledge of drink recipes, wine, beer, and specialty cocktails, • Provide friendly, attentive, and professional service to guests, • Monitor guest consumption and adhere to all responsible alcohol service guidelines, • Verify guest identification and ensure compliance with all alcohol laws and regulations, • Assist with inventory tracking and restocking of bar supplies, • Collaborate with Banquet and Catering teams to ensure smooth event flow, • Handle guest requests and resolve issues with professionalism and care Requested Capabilities • Prior bartending experience in banquets, events, or hospitality settings preferred, • Knowledge of beverage preparation, cocktail recipes, and bar operations, • Valid alcohol service certification required (TABC or equivalent), • Strong communication and guest service skills, • Ability to work in a fast-paced, high-volume environment, • Professional, polished, and approachable demeanor, • Ability to work flexible hours including evenings, weekends, and holidays, • Ability to stand and move for extended periods during events, • Ability to lift and carry objects up to 50 pounds (e.g., kegs, cases, bar supplies) As part of the Makeready collection, we proudly offer a variety of thoughtful benefits and perks for eligible team members including accommodating PTO/PTO exchange, medical/dental/vision benefits, maternity/paternity leave, pet insurance, company-matched dependent care & 401k, student loan repayment program and a wide range of additional ancillary benefits.
