Job Description Cashier The primary duties and responsibilities of a Lead cashier involve interacting with customers, providing a positive experience and ensuring that the other service staff is prepared to do the same. Duties and Responsibilities: · Create and maintain a positive work environment for all cashiers and staff · Taking and Producing customers’ food (Specialty Coffee, Alcoholic and NON-Alcoholic Beverages) and drink orders · Labeling and stocking all ingredients on easily accessible shelves · Delivering a memorable dining experience by resolving all customer issues promptly · Assisting with the tidying of tables, clearing leftovers and keeping the dining area neat and pleasant · Serve as the primary point of contact for customer in the service area · Operate POS and perform general checkout functions · Generate reliable and accurate reports from every POS system · Resolve cash tills when closing, ensuring the money matches the report and is stored safely · Sales reporting · Assist other employees with challenges · Maintain a clean working environment by adhering to all relevant sanitary regulations and standards Qualifications · Previous POS and cash handling experience · TABC & Food handling certified (Must be willing to complete certifications within 2 weeks from hire date) · Standing or moving, for long periods of time · General knowledge of all safety & sanitation standards · Remaining calm in a hectic, fast-paced atmosphere · Demonstrating a high level of organization, attention-to-detail and a sense-of-urgency · Displaying a positive and outwardly friendly attitude toward guests and co-workers
