Job Description Job Title: Clinical Research Nurse - Oncology (Downtown) Job Description The Clinical Research Coordinator II RN (CRC-II RN) plays a vital role in the Research Institute, under limited supervision, to plan, coordinate, evaluate, and perform the nursing care of participants, collecting data for assigned research projects. This position requires following study-specific protocol guidelines and maintaining communication with Principal Investigators, Sub-Investigators, Clinical Research Lead, and clinical research support staff. The CRC-II RN advocates for the patient while adhering to the conduct of industry-sponsored and investigator-initiated clinical trials in accordance with trial protocols, FDA regulations, and ICH/GCP guidelines. Responsibilities • Deliver safe care while maintaining the dignity and respect of all participants., • Maintain clinical competencies such as physical assessment, phlebotomy, and IV insertion., • Abide by HIPAA regulations and practice Universal Precautions., • Maintain a clean and prepared clinical space, performing set-up and turnover procedures., • Participate in internal and external training programs to maintain licensure., • Utilize positive interpersonal communication skills with healthcare team members, patients, investigators, and sponsors., • Review elements of the informed consent document in compliance with FDA, state, federal, and institutional regulations., • Manage multiple clinical trial protocols and perform accurate, legible, and timely documentation., • Promote Principal Investigator oversight by advising on deviations, patient status, and trial integrity., • Clinical research experience in oncology and clinical trials., • Skills in chart review and pre-screening patients., • Ability to perform clinical tasks including assisting with minor procedures., • Adaptability to various clinical settings as needed per protocol., • Demonstrated skills in physical assessment, phlebotomy, IV insertion, and administration of investigational drugs., • Associate degree in Nursing., • Minimum of 2 years of clinical research experience., • Current, active State of FL license as a Registered Nurse. The position is based in a hospital setting, requiring adherence to hospital and departmental policies. The role involves working with various healthcare professionals and requires the ability to adapt to different clinical environments. Job Type & Location This is a Permanent position based out of Orlando, FL. Pay and Benefits The pay range for this position is $75000.00 - $98000.00/yr.
