Job Description Position Summary The Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) provides compassionate and high-quality personal care and support services to clients in their homes under the supervision of a Registered Nurse (RN) or Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN). The CNA assists clients with activities of daily living (ADLs), ensures safety and comfort, and promotes the client’s dignity, independence, and overall well-being. Essential Duties and Responsibilities • Assist clients with activities of daily living (ADLs) including bathing, dressing, grooming, toileting, and ambulation., • Provide assistance with meal preparation, feeding, and maintaining a clean, safe living environment., • Take and record vital signs, height, weight, and report any significant changes in the client’s condition to the supervising nurse., • Support clients with transfers and mobility, including use of wheelchairs, walkers, or other assistive devices., • Provide basic health-related services such as simple dressing changes and skin care as directed by the nurse., • Maintain accurate documentation of care provided, observations, and client status in accordance with agency policy., • Offer emotional support and companionship to promote mental and emotional well-being., • Adhere to infection control and safety protocols in compliance with agency and Department of Health regulations., • Respect client rights and maintain confidentiality and HIPAA compliance at all times., • Participate in training sessions, competency evaluations, and quality improvement activities as required., • Report incidents, concerns, or changes in client condition promptly to the RN or supervisor. Qualifications • Current Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) license in the State of Pennsylvania., • Minimum of six (6) months of experience providing personal care in a home care, nursing home, or healthcare setting (preferred)., • Current CPR and First Aid certification., • Knowledge of infection control, safety procedures, and patient rights., • Compassionate, dependable, and able to maintain a professional attitude at all times., • Strong interpersonal and communication skills., • Ability to follow instructions, document accurately, and work independently., • Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation preferred. Physical Requirements • Ability to lift, move, or transfer clients safely (up to 50 lbs)., • Frequent standing, walking, bending, and reaching.
