Job Description Summary Our client has over 85 years of experienced and is a highly successful and well-known commercial construction general contractor that is in need of an experienced Sr. Project Manager to take the lead on a high-profile, 16-month, $12M school construction project in Sacramento. This is an incredible opportunity for a confident project leader who thrives in the field and knows how to build strong relationships with stakeholders, subcontractors, and community partners. This is a full-time, permanent role for a local project with no travel required outside the greater Sacramento region. You’ll be managing the full scope from kickoff through final delivery — with plenty of visibility, autonomy, and support from a collaborative leadership team. Duties & Responsibilities • Lead the full lifecycle of a multi-phase school construction project, • Coordinate all aspects of the build, including structural, MEP, and interior scopes, • Manage subcontractors, vendor relationships, and jobsite execution, • Serve as primary point of contact with district and school officials, • Drive schedules, budgets, and compliance from the field, • Ensure DSA permitting and inspection processes are successfully managed, • 5+ years as a Construction Project Manager in the K-12, public, or municipal space, • Proven experience with DSA permitting and stakeholder management, • Deep understanding of project sequencing, site logistics, and public-sector communication, • Familiarity with MEP coordination and renovation/remodel scopes, • Excellent communication, organization, and problem-solving skills, • Local to Sacramento or surrounding areas with trade relationships preferred, • Base salary range: $120,000 – $160,000 DOE, • $1,200/month vehicle allowance + gas card + Home Depot card, • Performance-based bonus potential, • 401(k) with 4% match, vested immediately, • Comprehensive medical, dental, and vision coverage, • Company-issued laptop, iPad, and phone or phone allowance, • Opportunity for long-term growth in an expanding regional division
