Job Description Job Title: Materials Associate 2nd shift 4 10's Pay up to 28 per hour starting Job Description The Materials Associate at the person, Inc. plays a key role in supporting the production of small drones by managing the receipt, warehousing, and issuance of materials and components. This position handles shipping and receiving activities, prepares products for freight shipments, and ensures accurate and timely material flow to production. The role requires close collaboration with inventory and purchasing teams to manage material consumption, replenishment, and storage, with a strong focus on on-time delivery, inventory accuracy, part quality, and continuous improvement. Responsibilities • Receive incoming materials and components, verify accuracy against documentation, and ensure proper documentation and system updates., • Warehouse and store materials in designated locations, maintaining organized, clean, and discrete storage areas., • Issue materials and components to production in a timely manner to support the manufacturing of small drones., • Process shipping and receiving activities, including preparing products for freight shipments and ensuring all documentation is accurate and complete., • Assist the Shipping & Receiving Manager with accurate shipment processing and adherence to shipping schedules., • Collaborate with inventory and purchasing groups to manage material consumption, replenishment, and storage levels., • Maintain material traceability, including lot tracking, inventory locations, and records to ensure full visibility of materials throughout the process., • Perform regular cycle counts and participate in inventory audits to ensure inventory accuracy and alignment with system records., • Ensure proper packaging, labeling, and storage of materials according to material requirements and quality standards., • Work closely with receiving and quality teams to ensure production components are transferred to inventory and placed in discrete storage locations in a timely manner., • Use ERP and WMS systems, including tools such as NetSuite and RF scanners, to record transactions and maintain accurate inventory data., • Support and uphold quality control standards, including AS9100 and other relevant quality certifications, as applicable to materials handling and documentation., • Handle materials and parts inventory with a high level of order accuracy and attention to detail., • Multitask in a fast-paced warehouse environment with minimal supervision while maintaining a strong sense of urgency., • Contribute to key performance indicators such as on-time delivery, inventory accuracy, part quality, and continuous improvement initiatives., • Provide excellent customer service to internal stakeholders by responding promptly to material requests and resolving issues related to materials and shipments., • Follow all logistics, material handling, and warehouse procedures to ensure safe and efficient operations., • At least 2+ years of experience in a fast-paced warehouse environment., • Hands-on experience with materials handling, warehousing, and parts inventory management., • Experience with ERP (Enterprise Resource Planning) systems and WMS (Warehouse Management Systems), including familiarity with NetSuite., • Proficiency using RF scanners and other warehouse management tools., • Basic computer skills and proficiency with Microsoft Office applications., • Experience performing cycle counts and maintaining inventory accuracy., • Demonstrated ability to maintain material traceability and accurate inventory locations., • Knowledge of proper packaging, labeling, and storage requirements for various materials., • Strong organization and communication skills in a warehouse or logistics setting., • Ability to multitask with little supervision while maintaining a strong sense of urgency., • High attention to detail and commitment to order accuracy and quality., • Experience working within quality-controlled environments, including familiarity with AS9100 standards., • Understanding of logistics processes, shipping and receiving, and freight preparation., • Excellent customer service skills when supporting internal teams and stakeholders., • Ability to meet the physical demands of a warehouse environment., • Experience working with quality control systems and quality certifications., • Familiarity with FAR 52.245-1 or similar regulatory requirements related to property or material management., • Experience in military or defense-related environments., • Experience in environments using structured KPIs such as on-time delivery, inventory accuracy, and continuous improvement., • Exposure to small drone production or aerospace manufacturing environments is beneficial., • Comfort working with structured warehouse processes and continuous improvement initiatives. the person, Inc. offers a highly engaging environment where you contribute to a fascinating and innovative product. Work Environment This role operates in a clean, relaxed, and climate-controlled warehouse environment. The facility supports modern warehouse operations with ERP and WMS systems, RF scanners, and organized storage areas to ensure efficient material handling. Team members work standard weekday shifts, with one position on 1st shift (6:30 a.m. to 3:00 p.m., Monday through Friday) and one position on 2nd shift (2:30 p.m. to 11:00 p.m., Monday through Friday). Overtime is expected as business needs require. The environment emphasizes safety, organization, and collaboration while supporting the production of advanced small drone technology. Job Type & Location This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Atlanta, GA. Pay and Benefits The pay range for this position is $22.00 - $28.00/hr.
