Job Description This shift is second shift. Schedule: 3pm- midnight Monday- Friday Summary of Responsibilities: The Assistant Warehouse Supervisor is responsible for assisting in the day-to-day supervision of people within the warehouse function to ensure HMS Mfg. Co’s targets and objectives are met to satisfy customer requirements. Essential Functions: • Prepare 2nd shift warehouse to grow and support all warehouse functions as needed., • Provide support supervising distribution center productivity and activity to ensure compliance with policies and procedures for distribution facilities., • Assist in developing and implementing distribution center processes and procedures based on industry best practices, along with creative development., • Ensure all stock is stored in the correct locations in the warehouse., • Work with Warehouse Supervisor to develop metrics, drive continuous improvement, and establish operational goals for cost reduction, productivity, quality, and safety., • Enforce operating instructions and safety policies and procedures., • Review receiving, shipping, and pulling reports weekly to determine work requirements and staffing needs., • Monitor the pulling progress throughout the day to ensure orders are pulled in a timely and efficient manner., • Work with the Receiving department to ensure product is received and stored accurately and timely., • Ensure employees are adequately trained and knowledgeable within all facility functions to ensure operational flexibility., • Assist as the backup to the Warehouse Supervisor as needed., • Work hand and hand with all Mfg. Supervisors to help train and provide accountability to all Mfg. forklift operators., • Perform other related duties as required and assigned. Required Skills: • Strong knowledge of Microsoft Office and MRP/ERP systems., • Knowledge with OSHA and regulatory requirements., • Ability to make decisions and solve problems., • Strong team building and development skills. Physical Demands: • Must be able to lift 50 lbs., stand, and move about the facility for extended periods of time. Competencies: • Education: High school Diploma/GED or equivalent experience required. College degree preferred., • Experience: Experience in warehousing or related discipline. Supervisory experience preferred.
