This position oversees financial planning, debt financing, budget management, and tax functions across three legal entities. The ideal candidate brings a strong FP&A foundation, technical accounting depth, and proven leadership experience. This role reports directly to the CFO. Responsibilities • Lead financial planning and analysis activities across multiple entities, • Oversee preparation of monthly consolidated financial reports, • Supervise development of annual consolidated budgets, • Ensure timely filing of all year-end tax requirements (Franchise, 1099s, etc.), • Review budgets and financial statements for city-affiliated departments, including compliance with debt and bond requirements, • Support the CFO with treasury functions, debt management, investments, and cash positioning, • Maintain strong internal controls across all companies and departments, • Manage banking relationships in partnership with the CFO, • Safeguard assets and ensure accurate, timely financial reporting, • Produce financial information and reports as requested, • Oversee external financial audit processes, including procurement, • Supervise AP, AR, invoicing, collections, cash disbursements, and general accounting functions, • Serve as liaison for financial matters with city and governmental partners (insurance, FEMA, debt, etc.), • Maintain and update documented accounting policies and procedures, • Recommend and monitor key performance indicators for operational performance, • Direct oversight of Senior Accountants, • Lead recruiting, training, coaching, performance management, and staff development, • Bachelor’s degree in accounting required, • Minimum 8 years of experience in governmental accounting and budgeting, • Minimum 5 years in a supervisory leadership role, • Exposure to public debt financing preferred, • CPA required, • ERP system experience required Interested in hearing more?
