Job Description Primary Job Title: Phlebotomist / Patient Services Representative II (PSR II) Alternate/Related Job Titles: • Certified Phlebotomist, • Patient Service Technician Onsite Flexibility: Onsite Contract Details: • Position Type: Contract, • Contract Duration: 3.5 months (estimated) Job Summary: The Phlebotomist / Patient Services Representative II (PSR II) serves as the primary point of contact for patients and plays a critical role in the laboratory testing process. This position is responsible for performing high-quality blood collections, preparing specimens for analysis, and ensuring accuracy, confidentiality, and a superior patient experience. The PSR II fosters trust and professionalism in every interaction while maintaining compliance with all safety and laboratory standards. Key Responsibilities: • Perform specimen collection and processing duties accurately and on time, following established clinical and forensic procedures., • Verify patient identity and ensure correct labeling of all specimens., • Maintain proper documentation, logs, and quality records in accordance with company standards., • Provide exceptional customer service, ensuring patients feel comfortable and informed throughout the collection process., • Support multiple collection sites as needed, maintaining flexibility in scheduling and location coverage., • Follow established safety protocols and maintain a clean, professional environment., • Promote a positive image of the organization to patients, clients, and the community.Required Experience:, • Minimum 3 years of phlebotomy experience including pediatric, geriatric, and capillary collections., • 2+ years in a Patient Service Center or healthcare setting preferred., • Experience in customer service or a patient-facing role preferred., • Keyboard/data entry experience required.Required Education:, • High school diploma or equivalent required., • Medical assistant or paramedic training preferred., • Phlebotomy certification preferred (required in CA, NV, and WA).Required Skills:, • Expert phlebotomy and specimen collection techniques., • Ability to work independently with minimal supervision., • Strong attention to detail and organizational skills., • Excellent customer service and communication abilities.Preferred Skills:, • Proficiency with laboratory information systems and patient record management., • Familiarity with safety and compliance regulations., • Ability to adapt to changing priorities in a fast-paced environment.Additional Skills:, • Willingness to work flexible hours, including weekends and holidays if required., • Reliable transportation and valid driver’s license for local travel. • Medical, Vision, and Dental Insurance Plans, • 401k Retirement Fund About The Company: Leading provider of diagnostic information services empowering healthier lives.
