Job Description Job Title: Receptionist / Administrator Location: New York, NY Industry: Non-Profit / Education Pay: $20 - $21 / hour (Contract), potential conversion: $40,000 - $45,000/year Benefits: This position is eligible for: Dental, Vision, Medical, 401(k) About Our Client: Addison Group is hiring on behalf of our client, a well-regarded non-profit organization in New York City. This role supports the organization’s administrative operations while ensuring a welcoming environment for staff, visitors, and external partners. Job Description: Our client is seeking a reliable and professional Receptionist/Administrator to manage front-desk operations, support administrative functions, and assist various departments with day-to-day office needs. This contract position has the potential to convert to a full-time role. Key Responsibilities: • Welcome and assist staff, visitors, and vendors in a friendly and professional manner., • Answer, screen, and transfer incoming calls, and track messages efficiently., • Provide general information about the organization to callers and visitors., • Monitor staff movement and activity throughout the building., • Perform administrative tasks including document preparation, photocopying, mailing, and processing invoices., • Receive, sort, and distribute incoming mail and packages., • Maintain an organized and presentable reception area., • Support departments such as Safety, Afterschool, and Athletics as needed. Qualifications: • Bachelor’s degree required., • 1+ years of experience in administrative, clerical, office management, or reception roles., • Experience with mail handling, phone systems, and general office operations., • Proficient in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook)., • Strong communication and interpersonal skills; personable and professional., • Team-oriented, solution-focused, and able to work independently., • Excellent time management and prioritization skills; punctuality is a must.
