Job DescriptionAbout the Role Energy Management Corporation is seeking a technical leader-preferably with an Electrical Engineering background-experienced in VFDs, motors, industrial control systems, and power quality solutions. This position combines applications engineering, field service oversight, and technical business management. The role involves leading a small team while working directly with industrial clients to deliver solutions, support business growth, and strengthen our market presence.Key ResponsibilitiesTechnical & Field Expertise: • Provide technical guidance and support for VFDs, motor systems, and control system integration, • Troubleshoot and optimize motor-driven equipment in industrial settings, • Apply power quality knowledge (harmonics, power factor, IEEE/IEC standards) to enhance solutions, • Lead field service efforts, ensuring timely resolution of client challengesTeam Leadership:, • Supervise and mentor office staff and field technicians, • Manage team resources, schedules, and priorities to ensure project success, • Promote a safety-conscious and client-focused work environmentBusiness Development:, • Work with sales to identify opportunities in VFD, motor control, and power quality markets, • Contribute technical expertise to proposals, cost estimates, and client presentations, • Act as a trusted technical advisor for industrial clientsQualifications:, • B.S. in Electrical Engineering (preferred) or related technical discipline, • 7+ years of experience with VFDs, motors, and industrial control systems, including field service, • Knowledge of power quality principles and PQ monitoring tools, • Hands-on experience with drive commissioning, motor protection, and troubleshooting, • Demonstrated leadership of small teams and project coordination, • Business acumen with experience in technical proposals and customer engagement, • PE license or Master Electrician license (preferred)Preferred Background:, • Experience with ABB, Siemens, Schneider Electric, Eaton, Rockwell Automation, Yaskawa, or other motor/drive OEMs, • Previous leadership in industrial service or applications engineering teams
