We've built a social sports gaming experience that allows users to compete for leaderboard positioning, to achieve badges and build their status within the game. We are pioneering play-for-fun sports gaming, with our flagship social sportsbook experience that includes sweepstakes promotions and loyalty rewards. We provide sports fans with fun, engaging, and free-to-play alternatives to real money gaming. Fliff is seeking an experienced and hands-on Engineering Manager with deep expertise in React Native to lead a team of 4–8 engineers building the next generation of our Fantasy platform. You’ll balance people management, technical leadership, and hands-on coding to ensure delivery of scalable, performant, and engaging features across React Native mobile apps and mobile web. We’re looking for someone who can guide a high-performing team, foster a strong engineering culture, and collaborate closely with product and design.What You’ll Do: • Lead, mentor, and grow a team of engineers, providing regular feedback and support in their development., • Stay hands-on by contributing to the codebase (at least 30–40%) and setting quality standards., • Guide architecture decisions and ensure frontend codebases are scalable, testable, and well-documented., • Ability to break down complex, real-time data challenges into manageable parts and deliver effective, performant solutions., • Ensuring accuracy in data, UI responsiveness, and code quality to avoid costly mistakes, especially in real-time applications., • Partner with product and design to scope, prioritize, and deliver features that delight users., • Own delivery timelines and resource planning to ensure smooth execution across sprints., • Foster a culture of technical excellence, accountability, collaboration, and continuous improvement., • Drive hiring, onboarding, and performance management for your team.What We're Looking For:, • 6+ years of frontend engineering experience with a focus on React Native and TypeScript 5.0+., • 2+ years of experience managing and mentoring engineers or leading technical teams., • Strong command of React fundamentals: functional components, hooks, context, and advanced patterns., • Deep understanding of state management tools like Redux (with middleware like Thunk/Saga) and Context API., • Experience with performance optimization, code splitting, lazy loading, and responsive UI design., • Ability to work with backend APIs (REST and WebSocket) and integrate data into complex UIs., • Comfortable with debugging tools and testing frameworks (Jest, React Testing Library)., • Heavy usage of analytic tools (DataDog, MixPanel, Google Analytics, etc)., • Strong communication skills and the ability to collaborate across disciplines., • Prior experience working in a high-growth startup, gaming, or real-time application environment preferred.Nice to Have:, • Experience leading frontend initiatives in the sports betting or gaming industry., • Familiarity with infrastructure (AWS), CI/CD, and best practices for environment pipelines., • Prior experience driving team-level OKRs or delivery metrics.Benefits:, • The annual salary for this role ranges from $209,000 to $220,000 depending on experience and background., • Unlimited/ Flexible Time Off: Flexible vacation policy, • Health benefits with 100% paid premiums* for medical, dental, and vision plans for employees and dependents, plus on-demand healthcare concierge., • Pre-tax savings plans for healthcare, with up to a $500 annual employer contribution to the HSA (if enrolled in the HSA medical plan)., • Employee-sponsored 401(k) to help reach your financial goals., • Fully remote work environment., • Generous parental leave., • Professional development opportunities in a dynamic, global setting.Perks:, • Work Remotely., • $500 work-from-home stipend + Equipment & Accessories., • Opportunity for professional development in a dynamic, global setting., • A supportive, collaborative, and knowledge-driven workplace.
