Job Description Supplier Quality Engineer (Hybrid) Location: Kingston, NY Area Schedule: Hybrid, 3 days onsite (Tuesday and Thursday required), 2 days remote We are seeking a Supplier Quality Engineer to develop and execute supplier quality initiatives that improve product quality, supplier performance, and manufacturing efficiency. This role partners closely with engineering, manufacturing, sourcing, and quality teams to ensure supplier compliance, resolve quality issues, and drive continuous improvement across the supply chain. Key Responsibilities • Develop and implement supplier quality strategies aligned with company standards and industry best practices., • Manage supplier qualification activities, including Supplier Quality Assurance Manual (SQAM) compliance, supplier audits, first article inspections, and incoming inspection requirements., • Lead Supplier Corrective Action Requests (SCARs), root cause investigations, and corrective and preventive action initiatives., • Monitor supplier performance through scorecards, data analysis, and continuous improvement programs., • Conduct supplier process audits and validate manufacturing processes to ensure compliance with quality requirements., • Partner with cross functional teams to resolve supplier quality issues and support initiatives such as conflict minerals and PFAS compliance., • Identify and mitigate supplier related risks impacting product quality and delivery., • Support cost of quality reduction initiatives and ongoing supplier development efforts., • Travel domestically and internationally up to 30 to 40 percent as needed. Qualifications • Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Engineering Technology, or a related discipline, or equivalent industry experience., • Minimum of 5 years of experience in Supplier Quality, Quality Assurance, or Quality Control within a manufacturing environment., • Experience supporting manufacturing processes such as machining, assembly, welding, casting, or controls., • Strong working knowledge of ISO 9001 and IATF 16949 quality standards., • Experience with PFMEA, SPC, Gage R&R, and 6S methodologies is preferred., • Excellent analytical, problem solving, organizational, and communication skills., • Ability to build strong relationships with suppliers and cross functional teams.
