Job Description Manufacturing Engineer Location: Kingston, NY Area Assignment: Long Term Contract We are seeking a Manufacturing Engineer to support the development, implementation, and continuous improvement of manufacturing processes that enhance safety, quality, productivity, and cost efficiency. This position partners closely with operations, engineering, suppliers, and customers to optimize production capabilities and support assembly operations. Key Responsibilities • Develop, implement, and improve manufacturing processes, tooling, and production methods., • Provide day to day engineering support to manufacturing and operations teams., • Lead continuous improvement initiatives using Lean Manufacturing, Kaizen, and 6S principles., • Conduct time studies and analyze workflows to improve labor utilization, production balancing, and efficiency., • Create and maintain manufacturing documentation, including work instructions, SOPs, engineering drawings, bills of materials, and technical specifications., • Maintain ERP system data, including routings, engineering change orders, and nonconformance records., • Collaborate with cross functional teams, customers, and suppliers to improve manufacturability and production performance., • Provide technical support and train production personnel on manufacturing processes, quality standards, and traceability requirements. Qualifications • Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering, or a related field preferred. Equivalent industry experience will be considered., • Minimum of 2 years of manufacturing engineering experience in a production or assembly environment., • Experience leading process improvement or manufacturing optimization projects is preferred. Required Skills • Knowledge of Lean Manufacturing, Kaizen, and 6S methodologies., • Strong analytical, problem solving, and project management skills., • Proficiency with Microsoft Excel, Word, AutoCAD, Microsoft Project, and SolidWorks., • Experience working with ERP systems; Encompix experience is a plus., • Excellent written and verbal communication skills., • Proven ability to implement Lean initiatives and improve manufacturing performance. Additional Requirements • Drug screening and background check required., • Reliable attendance and the ability to work effectively in a team environment.
