Job DescriptionJob Title: Laboratory Technician (Entry Level) Schedule: • Training: Monday–Friday, 7:00 AM – 3:00 PM, • Permanent Shift: Tuesday–Saturday, 3:00 PM – 11:00 PM, • Perform Quality Control grab samples every four hours, plus additional samples as needed., • Prepare and conduct composite analyses., • Perform chemical, analytical, and physical testing using advanced instrumentation and standard physical methods., • Assist with shipping samples to customers and external testing facilities., • Communicate sample progress and results to Production Supervisors.Laboratory Operations, • Maintain accurate laboratory records and documentation., • Keep the laboratory clean, organized, and compliant with safety standards., • Assist with composite analyses as required., • Troubleshoot issues in assigned work areas and report equipment or personnel downtime.Safety, • Work safely at all times and report unsafe conditions immediately., • Wear required PPE (safety glasses, steel‑toe boots, hardhat, respirator, earplugs, etc.)., • Follow all safety procedures and protocols.General, • Support both individual and team tasks with a positive attitude., • Perform other duties as assigned by the Supervisor, Plant Manager, or Production Department Head.RequirementsEducation, • High school diploma or GED required., • Some higher education or a secondary science‑related degree preferred.Experience, • Minimum 6 months of industrial laboratory, manufacturing, or production experience preferred., • Proficiency with computers; working knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite required.Language, Math & Reasoning, • Ability to read and understand work instructions and safety procedures., • Ability to perform basic math and apply simple equations., • Strong verbal and written communication skills.Competencies, • Professional Maturity: Objectively evaluates situations and separates emotion from decision‑making., • Responsibility: Meets commitments and accepts accountability for actions and outcomes., • Communication: Communicates clearly, listens actively, and provides thoughtful feedback., • Flexibility: Adapts effectively to change and supports evolving priorities., • Intelligence: Learns quickly and applies new information effectively., • Energy & Enthusiasm: Maintains high levels of motivation and engagement., • Organization: Structures tasks efficiently and manages time well., • Technical Knowledge: Understands role‑specific systems, equipment, and processes., • Interpersonal Skills: Communicates effectively across diverse situations and audiences., • Collaboration: Works well with others and helps resolve conflicts constructively., • Change Management: Adjusts smoothly to shifting environments and responsibilities., • Problem Solving: Identifies issues, analyzes information, and resolves problems promptly., • Attention to Detail: Ensures accuracy in data entry and reporting., • Integrity & Respect: Demonstrates honesty and respect in all interactions., • Judgment: Makes sound, independent decisions., • Teamwork: Shares information, supports team goals, and contributes positively., • Quality Focus: Maintains high standards in all work performed., • Accountability: Adheres to policies and completes work on time and to expectations.Physical Requirements, • Ability to climb stairs, ramps, ladders, and scaffolding., • Ability to maintain balance on narrow or slippery surfaces., • Ability to bend, crouch, and move about the facility for extended periods., • Ability to lift, carry, push, or pull up to 50 lbs occasionally., • Manual dexterity for handling small objects and performing repetitive motions., • Ability to perceive size, shape, temperature, and texture through touch., • Ability to communicate clearly through spoken and written instructions., • Adequate hearing to distinguish sounds and make fine equipment adjustments., • Visual acuity including close, distance, color, peripheral vision, depth perception, and ability to adjust focus., • Ability to wear a respirator as required. Job Type & Location This is a Contract position based out of Little Rock, AR. Pay and Benefits The pay range for this position is $26.00 - $26.00/hr.
