San Marco Group America is seeking a Business Developer – USA to manage and expand the business of the Novacolor premium decorative finishes line across Pacific States (West Coast): California, Oregon, Washington, Alaska, and Hawaii C Mountain States: Arizona, Colorado, Idaho, Montana, Nevada, New Mexico, Utah, and Wyoming. +Wisconsin +Minnesota The role is responsible for market research, identification, appointment, and development of distributors, as well as for building strong commercial relationships with key players such as distributors, contractors, developers, and architectural firms. The Business Developer will actively monitor market trends and opportunities, ensuring sustainable growth and brand positioning in the U.S. premium segment. Key Responsibilities Market Development G Research • Conduct in-depth market research to identify potential distributors, partners, and opportunities in selected U.S. states, • Open and develop new markets for Novacolor’s premium decorative solutions, • Monitor local market trends, competitors, and customer needs within assigned territories Distributor G Network Management • Develop and manage a network of distributors/importers specialized in paints, coatings, and premium decorative materials, • Evaluate the possibility to convert local contractors and supply/apply companies to distributors; Research, contact, evaluate, and appoint local distributors and commercial partners, • Manage and grow relationships with the existing distributor network, ensuring performance, brand alignment, and commercial objectives Business Development G Sales Activities • Build and manage relationships with general contractors, developers, key applicators, architectural and design firms, and major customers, • Support specification and prescription of Novacolor products for relevant interior and exterior projects, • Develop local networks of local technicians and free lance trainers to support the distributors development; Commercial Management • Negotiate commercial agreements with distributors, agents, and partners, • Ensure excellent customer serviceand long-term relationship management, • Collaborate with SAN MARCO AMERICA team on sales strategy, forecasting, and business planning Requirements Experience G Background • Minimum 5 years of experience in a similar business development or sales role, • Strong technical background in decorative paints and coatings, • Ability to manage and deliver training activities for local partners and distributor networks, • Strong background in the painting G coatings sector. Alternatively, experience in premium building materials (e.g., decorative finishes, coatings, flooring, furnishings, decorative mortars) will be considered, • Solid knowledge of distribution channels, particularly specialized construction and finishing dealers, • Proven experience in opening new markets and managing distributor networks Skills G Competencies • Ability to approach and manage relationships with high-end/ premium brand clients, • Strong negotiation, communication, and relationship-building skills, • Excellent organizational, planning, and customer-service orientation, • Strategic mindset with hands-on execution capability Languages G Mobility Fluent English required Willingness to travel extensively within the United States and internationally for medium- to long-term assignments Benefits Package You will be eligible for the private health, dental, vision and life insurance plan San Marco Group America provides its fulltime employees.
