JOB DESCRIPTION: General Purpose Train, supervise and actively participate in all the food productions areas of the kitchen, in order to maintain our high standards of quality. Essential Duties • Assume leadership role in the kitchen in the Executive Chefs absence., • Coordinate, plan, and supervise production, preparation, and presentation for dishes at the restaurant, • Ensures the food quality and selection consistently meets Reikart House and Jazzboline Restaurant Standars, • Maintains safety and sanitary standards, • Recommends and implements procedural and production changes., • Monitors food and labor costs., • 2 years leadership experience in similar role, • 4 years line cook/culinary experience, • Strong ability to work in a team environment, • Prior experience in high volume food production, • Basic knife skills, • Excellent attention to detail, • Time management skills, • Basic food safety knowledge, • Ability to stand for long periods of time including bending, lifting, reaching, and stretching, • Able to lift 30lbs or more, • Ability to move rapidly in a hot environment
