The Opportunity: The Senior Embedded Software Engineer will lead the firmware design, implementation and test aspects of products throughout their entire lifecycle. The chosen candidate will own the software architecture and design execution, along with processes, tools, and metrics used for product development programs. Key Responsibilities: • Translate high-level concepts into robust, maintainable firmware architectures., • Capture and document requirements and rationale for regulated products to ensure traceability and compliance., • Collaborate with hardware engineers to define and implement hardware/firmware integration strategies and diagnostic coverage., • Work with Product Owners and stakeholders using Agile practices to maintain alignment and transparency throughout the development lifecycle., • Adhere to and champion development processes, lead technical reviews, and implement source code that meets product requirements and complies with coding standards., • Ensure all code is well-documented, rigorously tested, and version-controlled., • Perform unit testing using tools such as IDEs, debuggers, emulators, communication analyzers, oscilloscopes, and logic analyzers., • Provide work breakdown plans and task estimates to support project planning and tracking. Required Qualifications: • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Computer Science, or a related field., • 5+ years of experience developing embedded software/firmware using C/C++., • Master’s degree in Engineering, Computer Science, or a related discipline., • Background in regulated industries (e.g., medical, industrial safety, automotive)., • Experience with LonWorks (Local Operating Network, LON) protocols and devices., • Skilled in using firmware debugging tools such as JTAG/SWD debuggers, oscilloscopes, logic analyzers, and protocol analyzers (e.g., UART, I2C, SPI, Ethernet)., • Proven ability to deliver firmware across the full development lifecycle—from requirements capture to design, implementation, and validation., • Proficient in Agile development and DevOps tools such as Git, CI/CD pipelines, and automated testing frameworks., • Experience contributing to FMEAs and implementing risk mitigation strategies in firmware., • Strong communication and writing skills for collaboration with project stakeholders (Product Managers, Customers, and other Engineers)., • Skilled in collaborating with other engineers to distill market needs into defined technical requirements and system/subsystem/module architectures., • Work with a globally respected brand in life safety, • Influence strategic decisions at the executive level, • Drive innovation and transformation in a high-growth environment At Det-Tronics, we believe in taking care of our people. The Opportunity We are seeking a highly analytical, detail-driven Analyst to support the Financial Planning & Analysis (FP&A) team while serving as a key steward of Customer and Vendor Master Data. This role is responsible for managing the creation, maintenance, and governance of Customer and Vendor master records within enterprise systems, as well as producing daily, weekly, and monthly FP&A reporting to support Finance, Operations, and the broader business. The Analyst will act as a critical link between FP&A, cross-functional business partners, and enterprise applications to ensure data accuracy, consistency, and compliance with established standards. In addition to reporting, this role will analyze trends, identify performance drivers, and help the business track and manage key KPIs. By maintaining high-quality master data and delivering reliable, insight-driven reporting, this role directly supports financial decision-making, operational efficiency, and data governance initiatives. This position is located on-site in Bloomington, Minnesota and this role is an on-site position with availability for occasional work-from-home flexibility. Key Responsibilities: • Create, update, and maintain Customer and Vendor Master records within ERP and CRM systems (e.g., JDE, Salesforce) following approved workflows., • Validate master data inputs for completeness, accuracy, and compliance with financial and operational policies., • Monitor master data changes and resolve discrepancies that impact downstream financial reporting., • Collaborate with cross-functional teams (Finance, Sales, Procurement, Operations, IT) to align data requirements and reporting needs., • Assist in the development and enforcement of master data governance policies, controls, and SOPs., • Perform regular data quality audits and remediation activities to ensure reporting integrity., • Train internal users on master data standards and best practices to support accurate financial reporting., • Participate in data cleansing, enrichment, and system enhancement initiatives., • Prepare and deliver daily, weekly, and monthly FP&A reports, including revenue, expense, margin, and operational metrics., • Support month-end close activities through validation of Customer and Vendor data used in financial reporting., • Perform variance analysis, trend analysis, and ad-hoc financial analysis in support of FP&A leadership., • Develop and maintain reports and dashboards tracking FP&A metrics and data quality KPIs. What You Bring Required Qualifications: • Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Business, Information Systems, Supply Chain, or related field., • 2–4 years of experience in FP&A, financial analysis, master data management, or ERP-related roles., • Experience working with ERP systems (JD Edwards is a specific plus) and CRM platforms., • Strong proficiency in Excel; experience with Power BI or SQL is a plus., • Experience managing Customer and Vendor Master records and supporting recurring financial reporting., • Strong analytical skills with exceptional attention to detail., • Effective communication skills and ability to collaborate across functions.
