Job DescriptionJob Title: Quality Technician III Job Description The Quality Technician III provides advanced technical support to manufacturing operations by performing inspections, tests, and data analysis to ensure products meet internal quality standards and regulatory requirements. This role focuses on improving manufacturing processes, maintaining accurate documentation, and collaborating closely with production operators, supervisors, and engineering to drive continuous improvement on the production floor. Responsibilities • Perform analyses, inspections, and tests on raw materials, packaging materials, in-process samples, and finished products to verify compliance with quality standards, customer requirements, and tolerance specifications for chemical and physical properties., • Conduct a variety of qualitative and quantitative tests or assays on samples to support quality control activities and ensure reliable product performance., • Assist in the maintenance, calibration, and certification of test instruments and apparatus by performing tests and checks to confirm proper operation and compliance., • Carry out required inspections, checks, analyses, and documentation of studies in accordance with established procedures and regulatory guidelines., • Prepare, compile, and monitor quality statistics and reports, using established formulas and procedures to perform detailed mathematical calculations and data analysis., • Review production records, batch documentation, and related manufacturing paperwork to confirm conformance to standard operating procedures and quality requirements., • Conduct non-conformance testing on manufactured, packaged, or previously tested product to identify issues, support root cause analysis, and verify corrective actions., • Support and perform line clearance activities on manufacturing lines to ensure proper removal of previous materials, documentation, and components before starting new production., • Apply 5S principles on manufacturing lines to maintain an organized, clean, and efficient work area that supports safe and compliant operations., • Update manufacturing work instructions and related documents by gathering feedback from operators and engineering, incorporating that feedback into redline documents, and ensuring clarity and accuracy., • Use MS Word to edit, format, and maintain quality and manufacturing documents, including procedures, work instructions, and reports., • Provide technical support in production operations, maintenance, safety, testing, process improvement, or product development as needed., • Use schematics, diagrams, written instructions, and verbal descriptions to perform testing and troubleshooting on electronic or mechanical components, equipment, or systems., • Gather, maintain, format, compile, and manipulate technical data, ensuring accuracy and completeness for reporting and decision-making., • Run minor projects, including planning and performing tests, interpreting data, and developing clear, concise reports for supervisor review., • Independently propose solutions to technical problems of moderate complexity and present recommendations for approval., • Communicate effectively with internal contacts to obtain and provide technical information on matters of moderate importance to the job area., • Provide guidance, coaching, and training to lower-level employees and peers within the job area to support skill development and consistent application of quality practices.Essential Skills, • At least a high school diploma., • Minimum of 4 years of relevant experience in a quality, manufacturing, or related technical environment with a high school diploma., • Demonstrated competence in improving manufacturing processes through data-driven analysis and collaboration with cross-functional teams., • Proficiency with MS Word, including updating, editing, and formatting documents, and incorporating feedback into controlled documents., • Ability to interact effectively with production staff, including operators and supervisors, to gather information, provide feedback, and support quality initiatives., • Experience performing inspections, tests, and analyses on raw materials, packaging materials, in-process samples, and finished products., • Ability to perform both qualitative and quantitative tests or assays and accurately document results., • Strong understanding of quality standards, regulatory requirements, and tolerance specifications relevant to manufacturing operations., • Experience reviewing production records and documentation for conformance to procedures., • Ability to conduct non-conformance testing and support investigations into product or process issues., • Capability to gather, format, compile, and manipulate technical data and perform detailed mathematical calculations., • Broad knowledge of operational systems, techniques, and practices typically gained through extensive experience and/or technical education., • Ability to work under limited supervision as a seasoned individual contributor and exercise considerable judgment in daily tasks.Additional Skills & Qualifications, • Experience with line clearance activities on manufacturing lines to ensure correct product and documentation setup., • Experience applying 5S principles in a manufacturing environment to maintain organized and efficient work areas., • Experience updating manufacturing work instructions and controlled documents using feedback from operators and engineering teams., • Ability to interpret and work from schematics, diagrams, written instructions, and verbal descriptions for testing and troubleshooting., • Experience troubleshooting electronic or mechanical components, equipment, or systems in a production or test environment., • Capability to run minor projects, including planning tests, interpreting data, and preparing technical reports., • Experience preparing and monitoring quality statistics and reports for management and cross-functional teams., • Experience providing guidance, coaching, and training to other employees within the job area., • Vocational or technical education, certification, or training in quality, manufacturing, or a related technical discipline is beneficial., • Background in medical or regulated quality environments is advantageous.Work Environment This is a full-time, on-site position based at a manufacturing facility in Brooklyn Center, MN, working approximately 40 hours per week on a first-shift schedule, Monday through Friday. The role operates primarily on the production floor and in laboratory or test areas, using a variety of test instruments, measurement equipment, and computer systems to perform inspections, tests, and data analysis. The environment is fast-paced and hands-on, with frequent interaction with production operators, supervisors, engineering, and other technical staff. Work involves standing, walking on the manufacturing floor, and working around production equipment while adhering to site-specific safety practices and standard operating procedures. Appropriate work attire and any required protective equipment are provided or specified by the facility to support safe and compliant operations. Job Type & Location This is a Contract position based out of Minneapolis, MN. Pay and Benefits The pay range for this position is $25.00 - $25.00/hr.
