Job DescriptionJob Title: Warehouse Worker Job Description This role focuses on receiving, storing, and issuing materials, equipment, and other items within a stockroom, warehouse, or storage yard. You will help maintain accurate inventory records, ensure items are stored safely and efficiently, and support day-to-day warehouse operations using both manual and computer-based systems. Responsibilities • Receive incoming stock items, verify quantities, and accurately record data manually or using computer systems., • Count and verify stock items against documentation, ensuring that all materials are correctly logged and tracked., • Pack and unpack items for stocking on shelves in stockrooms, warehouses, or storage yards., • Verify inventory computations by comparing system records to physical counts of stock, and investigate discrepancies or adjust errors as needed., • Store items in an orderly, safe, and accessible manner in warehouses, tool rooms, supply rooms, or other designated areas., • Label stock items using identification tags, stamps, electric marking tools, or other labeling equipment to ensure clear and consistent identification., • Clean and maintain supplies, tools, equipment, and storage areas to support a safe, organized, and compliant work environment., • Keep detailed records on the use, condition, and any damage of stock and stock handling equipment., • Examine and inspect stock items for wear, defects, or damage, and promptly report issues to supervisors., • Provide assistance, guidance, or direction to other stockroom, warehouse, or storage yard workers to support efficient operations., • Operate a cherry picker and other material handling equipment safely and in accordance with established procedures., • Support inventory, picking, and material handling activities to ensure timely and accurate order fulfillment.Essential Skills, • Strong verbal and written communication skills to clearly document inventory and interact with team members., • Analytical and problem-solving ability to investigate inventory discrepancies and resolve issues efficiently., • Proven ability to work as a team player and collaborate effectively with other warehouse and stockroom staff., • High attention to detail to ensure accurate counting, labeling, and recording of stock items., • Knowledge of relevant warehouse equipment and stock handling tools, including cherry pickers., • Understanding of policies, procedures, and strategies that support safe and secure warehouse operations and protect people, data, property, and assets., • High school diploma or GED required., • 2–4 years of experience in a warehouse, stockroom, or similar environment, with previous titles such as Material Handler., • Cherry picker experience and the ability to operate this equipment safely as part of daily duties.Additional Skills & Qualifications, • Previous experience in inventory, picking, and material handling functions., • Familiarity with computer-based inventory systems and basic data entry., • Experience maintaining clean, organized storage areas in compliance with safety regulations., • Comfort working with identification tags, stamps, electric marking tools, and other labeling equipment., • Ability to support and guide other warehouse or storage yard workers when needed.Why Work Here? Work Environment This position is based in a warehouse or storage yard environment, working primarily with inventory, picking, and material handling activities. You will regularly use equipment such as cherry pickers, stock handling tools, labeling devices, and computer systems for data entry and inventory tracking. The shift runs from 10:00 a.m. to 6:30 p.m., Monday through Friday, providing a consistent daytime schedule. The work involves standing, moving, and operating equipment in storage areas, stockrooms, and supply rooms, with an emphasis on maintaining clean, orderly, and safe conditions in compliance with safety regulations. Job Type & Location This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Eagan, MN. Pay and Benefits The pay range for this position is $19.50 - $19.50/hr. Eligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on your job classification and length of employment.
