This job may be assigned other functions or tasks as business needs dictate. This is meant to be a general description of the most essential duties only. Clinical Procedures • Provide onsite supervision and consultation during scheduled hours, • Responsible for • Establish and implement procedures for the provision of nursing care and delegated medical care for clients, including:, • A health monitoring plan, • A medication control plan, • Training and competency evaluations for staff performing assigned medical and nursing functions, • Handling serious illness, accident, or injury to clients, • An infection control program, • A first aid kit • Delegate, supervise various nursing duties to other authorized staff and evaluate the performance of assigned duties to make sure that all staff implement best practices when interacting with patients and tracking their treatment. • Communicate on a regular and timely basis with other members of the clinical team., • Report any unsafe conditions or client concerns to the Manager of Clinical Administration., • Interact with clients and other staff in an ethically and legally appropriate manner. • Attend and lead (If assigned) mandatory facility in-services and staff development activities as scheduled., • Assist in orientation of new employees and interns., • Provide legible, written documentation of client notes/ progress in the EHR system and must be completed by program and DHS regulations.Supervise Nursing Team, • Ensure Nursing protocols and procedures are followed by Registered Nurses, Licensed Practical Nurses, Certified Nurse Assistant/Certified Medical Assistants, • Ensure Registered Nurses, Licensed Practical Nurses, Certified Nurse Assistant/Certified Medical Assistants are regularly observing guest's health status, particularly as it relates to detoxification and withdrawal, • Work with the Manager of Clinical Administration to implement Department policies, procedures, and act as a resource to Registered Nurses, Licensed Practical Nurses, Certified Nurse Assistant/Certified Medical Assistants., • Develop staffing schedules in accordance with client needs/acuity for Nursing staff., • Ensure all Registered Nurses, Licensed Practical Nurses, Certified Nurse Assistant/Certified Medical Assistants are evaluated annually, and as needed, according to personnel policies., • Provide leadership and direction to Registered Nurses, Licensed Practical Nurses, Certified Nurse Assistant/Certified Medical Assistants in accordance with program goals and objectives., • Conducts disciplinary actions when indicated.
