POSITION SUMMARY The Lawyer Support Assistant, working under the supervision of the Supervisor of Attorney Support will take direction from and operate in support of a designated group of attorneys in the performance of a variety of administrative duties as assigned. The Firmwide Attorney Support Assistant is a non‐exempt position. The hours for this position are dependent on office location. ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS • Receive, track, and manage work requests from attorneys, paralegals, and associates via the firm's iSupport ticketing system; provide status updates, consistently meet deadlines, and collaborate across all firm offices to ensure firmwide service delivery., • Proactively maintain knowledge of firm resources, contacts, and subject matter experts to provide alternative solutions when requests cannot be fulfilled by the Firmwide Attorney Support Team or can be handled more efficiently through another resource., • Prepare, format, and finalize legal documents including correspondence, memoranda, complaints, motions, subpoenas, and briefs; ensure consistent styling, proper templates, Table of Contents, Table of Authority, and redlining as needed., • Input attorney time into WebTime; educate timekeepers on proper time entry standards. Process attorney and paralegal expense reimbursements and client-related vendor invoices., • Coordinate attorney calendars, contacts, and meetings including conference calls, Zoom, and in-person meetings; arrange travel (air, hotel, rail, car rental, and black car) through the firm's travel agency., • Handle all incoming and outgoing communications, including telephone calls, accurate message-taking, and mail processing via USPS, UPS, FedEx, and messenger services., • Conduct conflicts checks through the firm's conflicts system and communicate results to the requesting attorney or paralegal in a timely manner., • Prepare document shells using firm-approved templates with correct styles, formatting, and structural elements prior to attorney or paralegal drafting; perform document conversions such as PDF to Word., • Coordinate with Digital Document Services for printing, scanning, and duplicating projects., • Assist with the preparation of presentation materials for firm and client audiences. QUALIFICATION AND REQUIREMENTS • Bachelor's degree preferred or equivalent work experience; LTC4 or Microsoft Office Specialist (MOS) certification a plus., • Proficient in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook) and Windows 10., • Strong written and verbal communication skills with the ability to interact professionally with attorneys, paralegals, staff, and firm clients in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment., • Excellent organizational skills with strong attention to detail and the ability to prioritize a high-volume workload., • Ability to handle confidential and sensitive information with appropriate discretion and sound business judgment., • Demonstrated ability to work both independently and collaboratively in a team environment with a strong customer service focus., • Ability to manage and balance associate, attorney, and paralegal expectations while working effectively in a complex matrix management environment., • Proactively anticipates attorney and paralegal needs and takes initiative to address them before being asked., • Works well under pressure, follows direction, and adapts to shifting priorities with a flexible, solutions-oriented mindset., • Flexibility to adjust hours and work overtime as needed to meet business demands. The anticipated pay range for this role is $61,000-$96,000 in Washington, DC. The actual offered rate for this position will be determined based on several factors, including qualifications and experience, geographic location, education, external market data, and consideration of internal equity.
