Job DescriptionNow hiring Braze Operators in Hayward For direct contact with the hiring manager contact: Delores Gallegos Text the word BRAZE to 510 209 2515 Job Description The Braze Operator sets up, operates, and monitors brazing furnaces, welders, and related equipment to process customer parts according to technical drawings and written procedures. This role prepares and assembles parts, applies braze alloys, conducts post-braze inspections and leak testing, and supports equipment maintenance while maintaining a safe, organized work area. Responsibilities • Assist with the operation, control, and monitoring of brazing furnaces, welders, and related equipment to ensure consistent and high-quality results., • Prepare customer-supplied parts for processing, including cleaning, assembling, and applying braze alloy in accordance with shop orders and technical drawings., • Load and unload furnaces, fixtures, weights, and related tooling safely and efficiently., • Follow written procedures and instructions on shop orders and customer documentation with a high level of accuracy., • Perform post-braze visual inspections to verify quality and identify any defects or irregularities., • Conduct leak testing using helium leak detection equipment and document results as required., • Immediately bring any irregularities, non-conformities, or equipment issues to the attention of supervision or management., • Promote and maintain safety and good housekeeping practices in the work area at all times., • Assist with routine equipment maintenance and basic troubleshooting as necessary to support reliable operation., • Use hand tools and general shop equipment to support assembly, production, and brazing-related tasks., • 2–3 years of experience and knowledge in the fundamentals of brazing, including metallurgy, temperature control, and testing procedures., • Hands-on experience with brazing processes, including working with materials such as aluminum and stainless steel., • Ability to perform precise, delicate hand assembly tasks with strong attention to detail., • Experience with assembly, soldering, and basic welding operations in a production or manufacturing environment., • Ability to read and follow technical drawings, work instructions, and shop orders, with a willingness and ability to learn detailed blueprint reading., • Familiarity with inspection practices, including post-braze visual inspection and leak testing., • Basic machine operation experience in a production or general labor setting., • Effective verbal and written communication skills to follow instructions and document work accurately., • Ability to regularly lift up to 50 lbs and perform frequent bending, climbing, stooping, and standing throughout the shift., • Experience operating forklifts or material handling equipment in a manufacturing environment., • Exposure to helium leak detection equipment or other non-destructive testing methods., • Familiarity with reading and interpreting detailed technical blueprints and drawings., • in metalworking, welding, or related trades that involve brazing, soldering, or precision assembly., • Strong mechanical aptitude and interest in learning more advanced brazing and metallurgy concepts over time. Work Environment This role is based in an industrial production facility that operates brazing furnaces, welders, and related equipment. The environment includes regular exposure to heat, dust, noise, humidity, and fumes, and requires consistent use of appropriate personal protective equipment. Work is hands-on and physically active, involving frequent bending, climbing, stooping, standing, and lifting up to 50 lbs. You will work around machinery, hand tools, fixtures, and weights, following established safety and housekeeping practices to maintain a clean and orderly workspace. Job Type & Location This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Hayward, CA. Pay and Benefits The pay range for this position is $32.00 - $36.00/hr.
