Job DescriptionDescription: The Licensed Practical Nurse or Registered Nurse (LPN or RN) is responsible for overseeing and coordinating nursing activities within a healthcare facility to ensure the provision of high-quality, patient-centered care. This role involves supervising nursing staff, managing patient care assignments, and maintaining compliance with regulatory standards and organizational policies. Schedule: PRN, Weekends, Nights, All Shifts, 12 hour shifts Primary Responsibilities and Duties • Manage nursing staff by delegating tasks, providing guidance, and evaluating their performance to ensure quality care., • Monitor patient care activities to ensure compliance with established policies, procedures, and regulatory requirements., • Develop and maintain nursing schedules, ensuring adequate staffing levels to meet patient care needs., • Respond to patient concerns and complaints, addressing issues promptly and effectively., • Coordinate with physicians, therapists, and other healthcare professionals to develop and implement individualized care plans for patients., • Monitor and evaluate patient outcomes, making adjustments to care plans as needed to improve patient outcomes., • Current, unencumbered LPN or RN license in the state where work is performed., • Some nursing experience in a healthcare setting, preferably with supervisory or leadership experience., • Strong clinical knowledge and expertise in nursing practices, procedures, and regulatory guidelines., • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to lead and collaborate with nursing staff, patients, and interdisciplinary team members., • Strong critical thinking and problem-solving abilities to manage complex patient care situations and resolve conflicts., • Ability to prioritize tasks, delegate responsibilities, and manage resources effectively., • Flexibility to work various shifts, including evenings, weekends, and holidays., • Proficiency in basic computer skills and electronic medical records management., • Ability to stand, walk, bend, and reach for extended periods during patient care activities and supervision., • Fine motor skills and dexterity for documentation, administering medications, and handling medical equipment., • Physical capacity to assist with patient transfers, positioning, and other mobility tasks., • Stamina to handle extended shifts, including weekends and holidays, to provide continuous supervision of nursing staff and patient care activities., • Visual acuity to observe patient conditions, read medical records, and monitor nursing activities., • Emotional resilience to handle potentially stressful situations and make sound decisions in a fast-paced healthcare environment., • Clear communication skills to interact effectively with patients, families, and members of the healthcare team.
