Job Description & Requirements • Specialty: Radiology Technologist, • Discipline: Allied Health Professional, • Start Date: 05/18/2026, • Duration: 13 weeks, • 40 hours per week, • Shift: 8 hours, days, • Employment Type: Travel Assignment Overview • Shift: Days, 5x8hrs, • Hours: 40 hrs/wk, • Start Date: May 18, 2026, • Length: 13 weeks, • Work in a hospital-based radiology department at a 636-bed Level III Trauma Center and Magnet-designated facility in Milwaukee, WI, • Department includes 5 diagnostic rooms, 2 fluoro rooms, 1 video swallow room, 2 clinic diagnostic rooms, 3 pain clinic rooms, and 1 dental room, • Patient population includes inpatient, outpatient, ED, and procedural cases across all age ranges, with some pediatric patients, • Average caseload of 15–20 patients per tech per day, • Procedures include fluoroscopy (ERCPs, bronchoscopies, pain clinic, urology), and OR cases (ortho, general, spine), • Equipment includes GE, Fuji, and Del Medical X-ray systems; GE 9900 and Elite C-arms; Medtronic O-arms; and McKesson PACS, • EMR: Epic (experience required), • 5x8-hour evening shifts per week with start times between 11:00 AM and 3:30 PM, • Schedule runs Monday–Friday with every-other-weekend rotation; one day off the week leading into a work weekend and one day off the following week, • One on-call shift per week (call windows: 6:30 AM–2:00 PM, 2:00 PM–10:30 PM, or 10:30 PM–6:30 AM), • One holiday required per contract, • No floating to other unitsRequirements, • Minimum 2 years of acute or surgical radiology experience required, with most recent experience within the last year, • ARRT certification required, • WI state license required (license required if applicable), • Current BLS required, • Proficiency in surgical/procedural imaging, general radiology, and portable X-ray required, • Experience with fluoroscopy procedures (ERCPs, bronchoscopies, pain clinic, urology) required, • OR imaging experience including ortho, general, and spine cases required; comfort with O-arm preferred, • Mid-to-high-level acute care hospital experience required, • Minimum 1 professional reference from a Supervisor, Manager, Director, or Charge RN collected within the last year required for consideration, • Candidates must provide date of birth and last 4 digits of SSN, including middle name or initial, for considerationAdditional Information, • Radiologist on site 24/7, along with RT, hospitalist, and intensivist coverage around the clock, • Lead tech available on first shift; department staffed by 14 techs on days, 7 on second shift, and 3 on third shift, • Orientation includes facility NEO plus 7 days of department-specific training, • Fast-paced environment with high patient acuity, • Surgery scrubs provided on site, • Free parking available on site, • First-time travelers may be considered depending on skill level — strong surgery and procedural experience is expected, • Former employees of Advocate Health or any of its subsidiaries must be separated for at least 12 months before being eligible With thousands of travel nursing and allied jobs nationwide, our attentive and approachable recruiters find positions that align perfectly with your career aspirations and personal requirements.
