Job Description Job Title: Aircraft Mechanic Please Contact Emma at 843 972 1999 Job Description Conduct full aircraft inspections, including mechanics inspecting airplane structures, systems, and components by opening panels, removing interior parts, and accessing areas not checked during regular maintenance. Perform structural checks to identify corrosion, cracks, or metal fatigue in the fuselage, wings, and other major structures, sometimes using special tools like X-ray or ultrasound. Overhaul systems including environmental systems, hydraulics, electrical wiring, landing gear, and flight controls, which are tested and often removed for detailed inspection or overhaul. Involve in aircraft modifications by installing upgrades such as new avionics, cabin interiors, or updated safety systems. Engage in engine and APU work by removing, inspecting, or sending engines to specialized shops for more detailed work. Conduct ground testing after reassembly with extensive system tests, engine runs, and quality checks before the aircraft can fly again. Responsibilities • Inspect airplane structures, systems, and components for comprehensive maintenance., • Perform structural checks for corrosion, cracks, or metal fatigue using tools like X-ray or ultrasound., • Overhaul environmental systems, hydraulics, electrical wiring, landing gear, and flight controls., • Install new avionics, cabin interiors, or updated safety systems for aircraft modifications., • Conduct engine and APU work, including removal and detailed inspections., • Experience in heavy maintenance on ERJ-135 and 145 aircraft., • 3+ years of experience on any type of aircraft., • A&P license preferred but not mandatory with good work history., • Experience with CRJ, Embraer, C-check, ERJ, and jet maintenance. Work Environment Work in a non-climate-controlled aircraft hangar complex at Smyrna Airport, located 20 miles from Nashville. The environment is dirty, cold in winter, and hot in summer, with mechanics often walking outside between hangars. Candidates must be open to working either the 1st shift (5:30 AM - 4:00 PM) or the 2nd shift (2:00 PM - 12:30 AM), either Sunday to Wednesday or Wednesday to Saturday. Job Type & Location This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Nashville, TN. Pay and Benefits The pay range for this position is $32.00 - $38.00/hr.
