Job DescriptionDescription: The main responsibility of a host/hostess is to greet guests pleasantly, in a timely manner upon their arrival to the restaurant. The ultimate goal of a host/hostess is to welcome guests to their dining experience in a warm and friendly manner. The host/hostess will seat guests, present menus to guests, inform guests of their server, and answer any intermediary questions prior to the arrival of the server. Responsibilities • Greet and seat guests, • Present menus to guests, • Create and organize wait lists, • Manage floor plan, • Answer phone and answer any questions regarding the menu and restaurant, • Manage the call-ahead/reservation list in tandem with a manager, • Strong verbal communication skills towards guests and coworkers, • Superb reading and writing skills in order to create wait list and decipher wait time, • Excellent organizational skills, • Be able to stand for the entirety of a scheduled shift, • Be able to reach, bend, and stoop frequently, • High school diploma or equivalent is preferred, • Prior restaurant experience is not requiredRequirements:

Job Description About the Role: PART TIME HOST/HOSTESS NEEDED APPROXIMATELY 20-24 HOURS WEEKLY, MUST BE AVAILABLE WEEKENDS AND EVENING SHIFTS 4PM 8PM As a Host in the Accommodation and Food Services industry, you will play a crucial role in creating a welcoming atmosphere for guests. Your primary responsibility will be to manage the flow of guests, ensuring they are greeted warmly and seated efficiently. You will also be responsible for maintaining the organization of the dining area, which is essential for providing a seamless dining experience. By effectively communicating with both guests and staff, you will help to facilitate a positive environment that encourages repeat visits. Ultimately, your efforts will contribute significantly to the overall satisfaction and enjoyment of our guests. Minimum Qualifications: • High school diploma or equivalent., • Experience with reservation systems and point-of-sale software., • Greet guests upon arrival and manage the seating arrangements to optimize the dining experience., • Maintain an organized waiting list and communicate wait times to guests accurately., • Coordinate with kitchen and service staff to ensure timely service and address any guest needs., • Handle guest inquiries and complaints with professionalism and a positive attitude. Strong communication skills are essential for effectively interacting with guests and team members, ensuring that everyone is informed and satisfied. Organizational skills will be utilized daily to manage seating arrangements and maintain an orderly environment, which is vital for operational efficiency. Leadership skills will come into play when coordinating with staff and addressing any issues that arise, fostering a collaborative team atmosphere. Additionally, the ability to handle guest inquiries and complaints with poise will enhance the overall guest experience.
