Job DescriptionOur client is a top-tier lighting manufacturer known for designing and producing premium modular downlighting systems that deliver exceptional performance, adaptability, and aesthetic appeal. Their reputation is built on a foundation of superior design, engineering innovation, and dedicated customer service. They are seeking a seasoned technology leader with a strong IT background to guide the strategy, development, and continuous improvement of their digital platforms. This role requires someone who has managed implementations across different clients or business units, not just a single-site build. The ideal candidate brings hands-on experience from an agency, consultancy, or high-growth environment where they've juggled shifting priorities, balanced competing stakeholder needs, and learned the pros/cons of various implementation approaches through real-world execution. This is a hybrid role, reporting to our client's office in Carson, CA three days per week, and working remotely the rest of the time. Responsibilities: • Collaborate closely with Marketing, Sales Operations, Product, and external development partners to deliver scalable technology solutions that support business expansion and elevate the customer experience, • Lead and optimize the enterprise web and commerce ecosystem; including B2B and B2C shopping and transactional experiences, customer/dealer self-service tools and support capabilities, and reporting, analytics, and customer dashboard environments, • Direct all aspects of site and platform development, enhancements, customization, theme updates, and integration with third-party applications, • Oversee a mix of external vendors, offshore teams, SaaS partners, and any in-house contributors to deliver high-quality outcomes on time and within budget, • Act as the day-to-day driver of execution—translating requirements, managing sprint deliverables, clearing blockers, and ensuring development teams remain aligned with business needs, • Uphold strong frameworks for platform performance, data security, and long-term scalability, • Work closely with Marketing, Operations, and Product (from an IT leadership standpoint, rather than marketing) to translate business goals into technical solutions, • Convert stakeholder needs into detailed project plans, requirements, and user stories that development teams can act on, • Manage scope, timelines, budgets, risks, and change controls across complex multi-party projects, introducing best practices and lessons learned to strengthen delivery effectiveness and platform quality over time Qualifications: • Bachelor's degree, required; Master's in computer science or information systems - a plus, • PMP, CSM, or similar credential preferred, • 6-9+ years of IT project management experience, including at least 3 years leading B2B and B2C eCommerce or customer portal implementations, • Experience delivering multiple client or multi-site implementations in an agency or consulting environment, required, • Background working with major eCommerce platforms (Shopify Plus, Magento, Salesforce Commerce Cloud, SAP Hybris, etc.) and relevant integrations, • Experience integrating CRM, ERP, payment gateways, or related enterprise systems, • Demonstrated success managing offshore resources and external vendors, experience working with vendors in Asia is a huge plus, • Ability to partner with cross-functional stakeholders throughout requirements gathering and UAT, • Deep knowledge of eCommerce and portal capabilities—including shopping carts, case/ticketing systems, dashboards, and analytics tools, • Strong API integration experience (REST, GraphQL, webhooks) with ERP, CRM, and related platforms, • Familiarity with Agile/Scrum methodologies and tools (Jira, Confluence, MS Project), • Solid grounding in cloud hosting architectures, security best practices, and scalability planning, • Knowledge of BI/analytics tool integrations (Power BI, Tableau, etc.), • Understanding of cloud hosting environments, CI/CD pipelines, and DevOps practices Compensation: Targeting a base salary of $120-$160k, DOE
