Job Description Job Title: General Production Worker Job Description This role supports a fast-paced manufacturing operation by performing masking, racking, unracking, inspection, and general production tasks. You will work primarily on third shift from 10:00 p.m. to 6:30 a.m., Sunday through Thursday, and may also support a weekend shift from 6:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m., Thursday through Sunday as needed. You will help ensure parts are properly prepared, protected, and processed according to detailed work instructions, blueprints, and quality standards while maintaining a clean, safe, and organized work area. Responsibilities • Enable effective communication between leadership and employees to support smooth production operations., • Maintain a clean and safe workplace in accordance with company policies and safety procedures., • Perform related duties as assigned or as operational needs dictate to support production., • Create cutouts from Catia models for new parts and legacy parts as required., • Inspect masking on completed jobs to verify accuracy and quality before moving to the next process., • Track jobs through the production process and transport completed work to the next operation., • Support the masking department as needed to meet production demands., • Perform masking verification for new parts using the quality dashboard., • Contact customers to obtain blueprints and Catia models when additional information is needed., • Maintain current blueprint revisions and ensure masking is performed to the latest specifications., • Apply masking tape, caps, plugs, and liquid maskants to parts based on work instructions and blueprints., • Inspect parts for damage or defects prior to masking and report any issues., • Follow detailed technique cards and purchase orders to meet masking and processing requirements., • Communicate with inspectors and supervisors regarding masking concerns, quality issues, or process deviations., • Maintain a clean and organized work area, including tools, materials, and equipment., • Assist in other production tasks such as cleaning, prepping, sanding, packing, or post-processing as needed., • Adhere to all safety protocols, use required personal protective equipment, and follow company policies at all times., • Determine job priorities for racking and unracking to ensure efficient processing flow., • Select appropriate racking procedures based on the size, shape, and quantity of parts to be processed., • Hang or clip parts securely to racks or hoists for processing, ensuring proper spacing and orientation., • Remove parts from racks or bars after processing and handle them carefully to prevent damage., • Complete all required paperwork accurately and on time in accordance with company and processing guidelines., • Ensure all hazardous waste materials are handled and disposed of correctly according to procedures., • Maintain a clean working area by disposing of unnecessary trash, wires, and other debris., • Work flexibly between racking and masking departments and adapt to changing production needs., • Keep up with a fast-moving environment while maintaining high attention to detail and quality standards., • Experience working in a fast-moving production or general labor environment with the ability to keep pace with workflow., • Ability to read and follow detailed work orders, blueprints, technique cards, and purchase orders., • Hands-on experience with masking parts, including applying masking tape, caps, plugs, and liquid maskants., • Ability to perform basic inspection of parts for damage, defects, and masking quality., • Strong attention to detail to ensure accurate masking, racking, and documentation., • Ability to use basic hand tools safely and effectively in a production setting., • Capability to prioritize jobs and organize work to meet production schedules., • Willingness and ability to work flexibly across multiple departments, particularly between racking and masking., • Commitment to following safety protocols, using PPE correctly, and maintaining a clean work area., • Familiarity with Catia models or similar 3D modeling outputs for creating cutouts and understanding part geometry., • Experience working with quality dashboards or similar tools for verification and quality checks., • Prior experience in masking, racking, unracking, sanding, packing parts, or related production tasks., • Comfort working in environments where chemical odors may be present and PPE is required., • Ability to complete production paperwork accurately and consistently. Work Environment This position is based in a manufacturing facility where temperatures can fluctuate with outside weather conditions, and the buildings are not insulated, so you should be comfortable working in varying temperatures. The environment may include noticeable chemical odors, and appropriate Personal Protective Equipment such as safety glasses or goggles, aprons, rubber boots, gloves, and a respirator is provided and may be required depending on the task. The typical schedule includes third shift hours from 10:00 p.m. to 6:30 a.m., Sunday through Thursday, with potential weekend work from 6:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m., Thursday through Sunday. Casual attire is acceptable; however, sleeveless shirts and tank tops are not permitted, and closed‑toe shoes are required. Construction‑style footwear is preferred for those working in racking due to the nature of the tasks. The work involves standing, moving between departments, handling parts, and performing hands-on production tasks in a fast-paced, team-based environment focused on safety and cleanliness. Job Type & Location This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Everett, WA. Pay and Benefits The pay range for this position is $20.77 - $20.77/hr. Eligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on your job classification and length of employment.
