The role: The Food Safety Associate ensures a sustainable, safe, clean, and functional environment in the CookUnity Commissary. Responsibilities: • Monitor food production and ensure all Chefs are adhering to food safety regulations, • Perform critical checks including refrigeration, chemical concentration and and temperature checks, • Communicate kitchen rules to Chefs as needed- gloves, hairnets, proper hand washing, cleaning of equipment, sanitizing of prep stations, etc., • Ensures all items in coolers and freezers are appropriately labeled. (Labels must include Chef Name, Product Name and Date), • Daily facility compliance walks including corrective actions, • Work closely with other departments such as Kitchen Operations, Supply Chain and Maintenance to correct issues affecting food safety and quality., • Ensure the facility is always ready for inspection by local regulator or third party auditor, • Ensure all walk-in coolers and stand alone fridges remain closed and temperature is at 41 degrees or lower, • Perform weekly thermometer calibrations for Chefs and Food Safety team, • Collaborate with other members of Food Safety team in Chef and employee training on food safety and sanitation topics, • Perform facility and department audits, • Collect and provide data on cooler function and sanitary transport to operations and facilities teamsMinimum Requirements:, • Experience working in a high compliance food processing facility (USDA, FDA), • Positive and committed to doing the right thing, • Experience working with a team in a fast paced environment, • Good communication skills and ability to speak in a professional manner to a wide range of partners and stakeholders, • Ability to build relationships and explain food safety concepts in plain language, • Ability to work independently and complete assigned duties without direct supervision, • Proficiency G Suite/Google Workspace., • Team player with a positive, collaborative mindset, • Ability to work 30-40 hours per week., • Bilingual English/Spanish requiredBenefits, • Competitive hourly rates, • Medical, Dental and Vision, • 401K, • Opportunities for advancement Compensation • All final pay rates will be determined by the candidate's experience, knowledge, skills, and abilities of the applicant, internal equity, and alignment with market data. As the IT Senior SOX Controls Analyst, you will quickly become an expert in the online casino and sports betting space. You will support the Company's SOX program, acting as the primary executor and subject matter resource. This is a highly hands-on role responsible for performing and overseeing day-to-day IT SOX activities, including control documentation, walkthroughs, testing and issue remediation. You will operate with a high degree of autonomy in executing SOX procedures while also identifying opportunities to strengthen controls and improve processes. You will obtain an in-depth understanding of key technology and technology-enabled processes, evaluating potential risks and ensuring appropriate controls have been properly designed, implemented, and are operating effectively. You will also provide training and guidance to process and control owners, ensuring all requirements and expectations are understood while collaborating with Technology teams to embed effective SOX controls into new systems, tools and process enhancements. You will report to the Director of Internal Controls & SOX. What You'll Do: • Contribute to the development and execution of the Company's SOX function, • Assist with the Company's SOX IT risk assessment and scoping, • Work with Technology teams and application owners to maintain and improve key SOX process and control documentation, • Evaluate changes to applications, tools and infrastructure to ensure SOX controls are properly designed and implemented, • Educate Company stakeholders to ensure expectations and requirements for key SOX controls are properly understood, • Facilitate SOX requests, lead design walkthroughs and perform controls effectiveness testing, • Communicate audit results and align with control owners on remediation plans for SOX controls, • Provide recommendations to strengthen processes and controls, including IT General Controls, key system configurations and automated controls, • Develop periodic controls effectiveness monitoring procedures, • Coordinate with Technology, Accounting, Compliance and External Auditors on SOX and regulatory requirements, • Participate in technology-driven process improvement initiatives to strengthen internal controls and operational efficiency, • Build cross-functional relationships, • Bachelor's or master's degree in Information Systems, Computer Science, Accounting, Finance, or a related field required, • 3+ years of related professional experience in public accounting, internal audit or internal controls, • Strong understanding of IT General Controls (access management, change management and IT operations) in SOX environments, • Experience testing automated controls and key reports, • Experience evaluating user access provisioning, role design and privileged access controls, • Understanding of system architecture, data flows and system interfaces, including risks related to data integrity in financial reporting, • Experience evaluating controls in cloud-based environments, • Familiarity with software development lifecycle and agile development environments and controls, • Ability to apply common control frameworks (e.g. COBIT, NIST) in practical SOX environments, • Ability to maintain a high level of accuracy in performing all essential duties and strong attention to detail, • Strong organizational, documentation, and communication skills with an ability to present findings to various levels within the corporation, • Experience and a desire to work in dynamic and face-paced environment that demands creativity and flexibility, • Effective time management skills, ability to prioritize assignments, and consistently meet deadlines, • Integrity – implements and upholds company values, • Certified Information Systems Auditor, Certified Public Accountant or Certified Internal Auditor a plus Location Eligibility (for other roles): Location requirements may vary and will be specified in the job posting.
