Job DescriptionSalary: unpaid Events Intern Position Title: Events Intern Department: GRT Reports to: Events Manager This position is: Part-time; unpaid Location: Dallas, TX This is an unpaid, part-time, temporary internship designed to provide hands-on educational experience in event planning and nonprofit operations. The Events Intern will support the Events Team in planning and executing mission-aligned events that engage participants, donors, and partners. Under the supervision of the Events Manager, the intern will gain experience in event coordination, logistics, and communications. The internship prioritizes learning and skill development over productivity, and the intern will receive regular guidance, feedback, and instruction from the Events Manager and Events Team. The intern will not displace regular employees and will not independently perform essential business operations. Essential Duties and Responsibilities • The responsibilities below are intended to support the interns learning experience and will be performed under close supervision. Duties are structured to provide exposure and skill development and do not replace the work of paid staff., • Assisting with the planning, coordination, and execution of in-person and virtual events., • Helping with event logistics, such as vendor communication, supplies tracking, venue setup, and guest registration., • Supporting promotional efforts, including preparing event materials, Slack posts, and email communications., • Assisting in the coordination of event timelines, task lists, and post-event follow-up activities., • Conducting research on venues, vendors, and event trends to support planning decisions., • Helping maintain accurate event records, contact lists, and files., • Providing on-site support during events (e.g., registration, hospitality, or attendee assistance)., • Offering event support for the All Staff Gathering, taking place July 1824, 2026 in North Carolina. Travel and meals for this event will be covered by Launch Global., • Collaborating with team members across departments to ensure event details align with organizational goals., • Participating in team meetings and planning sessions to contribute ideas and gain exposure to the event development process., • Performing other duties or projects related to learning objectives and organizational needs. Internship Term and Schedule • This internship runs from May 4, 2026 through July 31, 2026., • The intern is expected to work 23 days per week, approximately 1624 hours per week., • Scheduling will be flexible and designed to accommodate academic, or faith-based commitments, including coursework or other educational obligations. Educational Purpose and Learning Objectives • The primary purpose of this internship is educational. Through supervised participation and guided learning, the intern will:, • Develop a foundational understanding of nonprofit event planning and execution;, • Learn event logistics, timelines, and coordination best practices;, • Gain exposure to cross-departmental collaboration in a mission-driven organization;, • Build professional communication, organization, and project coordination skills;, • Observe and participate in planning processes rather than independently managing events., • Training will include observation, shadowing, guided assignments, feedback sessions, and participation in team meetings focused on learning outcomes., • This internship is designed to complement academic coursework. Academic credit may be earned if coordinated through the interns college or university, subject to the institutions requirements. Launch Global is willing to cooperate with academic programs to support credit approval where applicable. Additional Job Requirements • Participate in supervised learning and support activities during the All Staff Gathering (July 1824, 2026, North Carolina), including observation of large-scale event operations and assisting staff as part of the educational experience.
