Job Description $80,000-$90,000 Salary+Bonus+Health Ins+Dental Will pay for Relocation General Manager Upscale Lounge & Nightlife Venue Position Summary The General Manager is the operational and cultural leader of a high-volume nightlife venue—overseeing all front-of-house and back-of-house teams, driving financial performance, and ensuring an exceptional guest experience. This role is responsible for maintaining an elevated atmosphere, managing service execution, and leading a high-energy team in a fast-paced environment. Key Responsibilities Operations & Guest Experience • Oversee daily operations across bar, floor, door, VIP, and kitchen (where applicable)., • Maintain an upscale, energetic atmosphere aligned with the venue’s brand identity., • Ensure consistent service standards for greeting, cocktail execution, ticket times, and table turns., • Direct nightly floor plans, section assignments, VIP/bottle service setups, and event layouts., • Hire, train, schedule, and lead managers and hourly staff (bartenders, servers, barbacks, hosts, security, support)., • Lead from the floor—high visibility during peak hours with a strong hands-on presence., • Conduct pre-shift meetings and communicate priorities, specials, and expectations., • Provide coaching, feedback, and corrective action to support team development., • Own the P&L: analyze sales, labor, COGS, and controllable expenses., • Create labor schedules based on sales forecasts and upcoming events., • Partner with bar and kitchen leaders to manage product costs, inventory, waste, and portioning., • Collaborate with marketing, DJs, promoters, and entertainment partners to drive traffic., • Oversee special events, theme nights, private parties, and VIP activations., • Build relationships with concierges, local businesses, promoters, and high-value guests., • Uphold all service, ambiance, cleanliness, and uniform standards., • Ensure consistent atmosphere through music, lighting, décor, and venue presentation., • Maintain equipment, POS systems, and physical assets., • Enforce company policies, procedures, and training programs. Qualifications • 3–5+ years of management experience in a high-volume lounge, nightclub, bar, or upscale casual concept; GM experience preferred., • Minimum of 3 years in Beverage Management specifically, • Demonstrated success running operations and controlling a P&L in a nightlife environment., • Strong leadership presence with the ability to motivate diverse teams., • Excellent hospitality skills with comfort engaging VIPs and nightlife guests., • Solid understanding of bar operations, cocktails, bottle service, and basic kitchen operations., • Strong financial skills in scheduling, forecasting, and cost control., • Experience with live entertainment, DJs, or promotional events is a plus., • Ability to work late nights, weekends, and holidays., • Current food-safety and alcohol-service certifications or ability to obtain.
